The immune system plays an important role in many processes of human reproduction. During pregnancy, mother's body has to accept the semialogenic fetus, therefore the role of immune processes has a high importance. Tolerance of the fetus by the mother's immune system is ensured by a complex of immune mechanisms, the knowledge of which brings us to the new insights into human reproduction processes and in seeking of new ways to modulate immunity in repeated embryo implantation failures, miscarriages, premature births, preeclampsia, and other fertility disorders and pregnancy complications. The review article is a summary of current possibilities of immunological laboratory diagnostics in reproductive immunology, presents indications for these tests and their interpretation, and mentions possible methods of therapeutic immune intervention.

Despite being designated as "noncarcinogenic" human papillomavirus (HPV) types, mono-infection with HPV6 or HPV11 has been found in squamous cell carcinomas (SCCs) at specific sites, including the larynx, penis, anus, and rarely, the lower female genital tract. The association between clinicopathologic features, viral status, and the carcinogenic mechanisms related to these low-risk HPVs remains unclear. The current study characterizes a series of low-risk HPV6 and HPV11-associated SCCs of the uterine cervix (6 cases) and vulva (2 cases).

Purpose Of Review: The purpose of this review is to discuss the clinical, radiological, and neuropathological heterogeneity of corticobasal syndrome (CBS), which can complicate the determination of underlying etiology and lead to inaccurate treatment decisions. Though the most common diagnosis is corticobasal degeneration (CBD), the spectrum of underlying pathologies expands beyond CBD and can overlap with other neurodegenerative diseases and even the neuroimmunology field. We will review possible clinical presentations and cues that can point towards the etiology.

Background: This video article describes the use of bone-anchored prostheses for patients with transtibial amputations, most often resulting from trauma, infection, or dysvascular disease. Large studies have shown that about half of all patients with a socket-suspended artificial limb experience limited mobility and limited prosthesis use because of socket-related problems. These problems occur at the socket-residual limb interface as a result of a painful and unstable connection, leading to an asymmetrical gait and subsequent pelvic and back pain.

Purpose Of Review: We present current evidence on the associations among sleep, pain, and medications for opioid use disorder (MOUD) among individuals with opioid use disorder (OUD).
Recent Findings: We searched MEDLINE, Embase, PsycInfo, Web of Science, and Cochrane Library from inception until September 2023 for original research studies examining sleep, pain, and MOUD. We identified 19 manuscripts (14 were cross-sectional studies, four were prospective cohort studies, and one was a randomized controlled trial).

Alzheimer's disease is a disabling neurodegenerative disorder for which no effective treatment currently exists. To predict the diagnosis of Alzheimer's disease could be crucial for patients' outcome, but current Alzheimer's disease biomarkers are invasive, time consuming or expensive. Thus, developing MRI-based computational methods for Alzheimer's disease early diagnosis would be essential to narrow down the phenotypic measures predictive of cognitive decline.
