Metal-based Fenton-like catalysts usually activate HO to produce free radicals (OH and O) for the degradation of organic pollutants. However, a catalytic reaction dominated by free radicals is easily interfered with by various inorganic anions and water matrices. Herein, g-CN-wrapped copper phosphide (CuP), as a highly efficient Fenton-like catalyst, was successfully synthesized by a simple low-temperature phosphidation method. The CuP/g-CN catalyst exhibited excellent catalytic ability for the removal of various organic contaminants over a wide pH range of 3-11. In addition, the catalyst exhibited strong anti-interference ability toward various inorganic anions (Cl, SO, NO, F, HPO, HCO and CO) and water matrices (lake water, river water, tap water and simulated water matrix). The reasons for this performance were analyzed by verifying the mechanism of the catalytic reaction. Compared to the pure CuP catalyst, the CuP/g-CN composite possessed good catalytic stability. The enhanced and deactivated mechanisms of the CuP/g-CN catalyst were systematically analyzed by a series of characterization techniques. A possible reaction mechanism was also proposed based on the experimental results. This work provides new insights into designing highly efficient metal-based Fenton-like catalysts with strong anti-interference ability to practically treat wastewater.

Background: Glioma accounts for 80 % of all malignant primary brain tumors with a high mortality rate. Histopathological examination is the current diagnostic methods for glioma, but its invasive surgical interventions can cause cerebral edema or impair neural functioning. Liquid biopsy proves to be an efficient method for glioma detection.

Construction of single probes for simultaneous detection of common trivalent metal ions has attracted much attention due to higher efficiency in analysis and cost. A naphthalimide-based fluorescent probe K1 was synthesized for selective detection of Al, Cr and Fe ions. Fluorescence emission intensity at 534 nm of probe K1 in DMSO/HO (9:1, v/v) was significantly enhanced upon addition of Al, Cr and Fe ions while addition of other metal ions (Li, Na, K, Ag, Cu, Fe, Zn, Co, Ni, Mn, Sr, Hg, Ca, Mg, Ce, Bi and Au) did not bring about substantial change in fluorescence emission.

Quantitative assessment for post-stroke spasticity remains a significant challenge due to the encountered variable resistance during passive stretching, which can lead to the widely used modified Ashworth scale (MAS) for spasticity assessment depending heavily on rehabilitation physicians. To address these challenges, a high-force-output triboelectric soft pneumatic actuator (TENG-SPA) inspired by a lobster tail is developed. The bioinspired TENG-SPA can generate approximately 20 N at 0.

A MEMS gyroscope is a critical sensor in attitude control platforms and inertial navigation systems, which has the advantages of small size, light weight, low energy consumption, high reliability and strong anti-interference capability. This paper presents the design, simulation and fabrication of a Y-axis gyroscope with out-of-plane detection developed using CMOS-MEMS technology. The structural dimensions of the gyroscope were optimized through a multi-objective genetic algorithm, and modal, harmonic response and range simulation analyses were carried out to verify the reasonableness of the design.

Flap endonuclease 1 (FEN1) is a specific enzyme capable of recognizing and cleaving triplex DNA structures and releasing 5'-flap fragments. It plays a crucial role in the DNA metabolism of cells, participating in DNA replication and the repair of damaged DNA. Additionally, FEN1 is overexpressed in various tumor tissues, promoting tumor progression and drug resistance through different regulatory mechanisms.
