Introduction And Objectives: Thrombocytopenia frequently occurs after transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI) but its impact is poorly understood. We aimed to analyze the incidence, clinical impact, and predictors of acquired thrombocytopenia after TAVI.
Methods: This retrospective multicenter registry included 3913 patients undergoing TAVI with a baseline platelet count of ≥ 100 *10/L.

Background: Transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI) leads to transient platelet activation and hypercoagulation status, resulting in thrombocytopenia.
Aims: This study investigated the associations of coagulation/fibrinolysis status after transfemoral TAVI with valve type, post-TAVI thrombocytopenia, and complication of TAVI.
Methods: Thrombin-antithrombin complex (TAT) and fibrin/fibrinogen degradation product (FDP) levels were measured before and 1 h, 1 day, and 2 days after TAVI.

An unexplained condition that follows transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI) is platelet count reduction (PR). According to published research, patients with balloon-expandable valves (BEVs) had a greater PR than those with self-expandable valves (SEVs). The purpose of this study was to investigate the incidence and clinical effects of PR following TAVI.

Background: Postprocedural thrombocytopenia is a known phenomenon following transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI). The aim of this study is to evaluate whether postinterventional platelet kinetics differ when comparing the current generation of balloon-expandable valve (BEV) and self-expanding valve (SEV) prostheses.
Methods: We performed a retrospective analysis of patients undergoing TAVI at our facility between 2017 and 2019.
