In seven entirely healthy children in the age group of 6.5 to 14.5 years, mild head injury produced transient global amnesia (TGA) of median duration of 4.5 hours. None of the patients had convincing signs of brain concussion or clinical focal symptomatology. In four cases CT examination of the brain showed normal findings. Four children had a transient abnormal EEG (intermittent delta rhythms, slowed background activity inconstant local finding (of slow waves). During the period monitored (2-34 months) there was no recurrent attack and the children have had no difficulties. Pathologically, the authors assume ischemia of temporobasal structures induced by mild trauma with a relationship to migraine diathesis and rank the child group among so called benign posttraumatic encephalopathy with a noncomplicated course and good outcome.

Objective: To describe the mortality profile and analyze the spatiotemporal distribution of COVID-19 mortality among international migrants residing in Brazil from 2020 to 2022.
Methods: This is a descriptive and ecological cross-sectional study using secondary data. Absolute and relative frequencies of the sociodemographic profile and mortality coefficients (MCs) were analyzed.

Introduction: Human mobility is associated with an increased risk of HIV acquisition and disengagement from HIV care, leading to poorer health outcomes among highly mobile individuals compared to less mobile individuals. Mobile individuals, broadly defined as those who temporally, seasonally, or permanently move from one place to another for voluntary or involuntary reasons, face many challenges in accessing HIV care services. These challenges include logistical difficulties, interruptions in HIV care continuity, and limited access to services across different locations, which together hinder timely testing, treatment initiation, and viral suppression.

Background: Foreign workers are at risk for depression, and Vietnamese people tend to be reluctant to seek professional mental health care. Although Vietnamese people are the largest population among foreign workers in Japan, evidence concerning their help-seeking experiences and strategies to promote help-seeking in this population is lacking. This study aimed to identify the percentage of Vietnamese migrant workers in Japan who have sought help from healthcare professionals for depressive symptoms and to explore the factors related to their intentions to seek help from a psychiatrist.

Preterm birth (PTB) remains a leading cause of neonatal morbidity and mortality, with inflammation-induced PTB posing a significant challenge due to its complex pathophysiology. To address this, we developed an in vitro platform utilizing hTERT-immortalized human myometrial (hTERT-HM) cells integrated with a multielectrode array (MEA) biosensing system and optical calcium imaging. Compared to primary uterine myometrial cells, hTERT-HM cells exhibit superior reproducibility, high scalability, and convenient manipulation, facilitating the consistent and large-scale investigations.

States differ significantly in international sports competitions in how they use the resources they have and whether they do so in an efficient manner. In this paper, we investigate the efficiency of the nations from the so-called "Global South", in total 52 states, during the 2000-2024 Summer Olympics. By doing this, our paper is the first using the Bayesian stochastic frontier analysis for exploring the performance of the states of the Global South.
