Patients with amputation have unique characteristics and needs that must be considered when services are being provided through a virtual platform. The types of amputation rehabilitation services that can be provided virtually are numerous and vary from a full clinical team evaluation to individual therapy services. Whether services are being provided in person or through a virtual platform, rehabilitation of the person with amputation ideally involves a collaborative interdisciplinary team. The potential benefits of providing amputation rehabilitation care through a virtual platform include enhanced access to specialized services, reduced travel burden, and improved continuity of care.

Gender-based violence (GBV) refers to a specific form of interpersonal violence that is rooted in gender inequities and unequal distribution of power. GBV is defined as any type of violence, including physical, sexual, psychological, and economic, perpetrated against individual(s) based on actual or perceived gender, gender identity, gender expression, sex or sex characteristics, sexual orientation, or divergence from social norms on masculinity and femininity. Cisgender (cis) and transgender (trans) women and girls of all ages, including adolescents and young adults (AYAs) of ages 10-24 years, disproportionately experience GBV.

Background: A knowledge gap exists in understanding the role of social isolation as a determinant of mental health among hybrid employees during the COVID-19 era.
Methods: Using 2024 Household Pulse Survey data, we investigated the relationship between social isolation and mental health among US hybrid employees. We assessed depression symptoms using the Patient Health Questionnaire-2 and anxiety symptoms using the Generalized Anxiety Disorder-2.
