High-level young athletes need to face a wide spectrum of stressors on their journey to élite categories. The aims of the present study are (i) to evaluate session rate of perceived exertion (sRPE) at different training impulse (TRIMP) categories and the correlations between these two variables and, (ii) evaluate the correlations between sRPE, fluid loss, and carbohydrate consumption during exercise. Data on Edward's TRIMP, sRPE, body mass loss pre- and post- exercise (∆), and carbohydrate consumption (CHO/h) during exercise have been acquired from eight male junior cyclists during a competitive season. One-way ANOVA and correlation analysis with linear regression have been performed on acquired data. sRPE resulted in a significant difference in the three TRIMP categories ( < 0.001). sRPE resulted in being very largely positively associated with TRIMP values ( < 0.001; R = 0.71). ∆ as well as CHO/h was largely negatively related with sRPE in all TRIMP categories ( < 0.001). The results confirmed the role of fluid balance and carbohydrate consumption on the perception of fatigue and fatigue accumulation dynamics independently from the training load. Young athletes' training load monitoring and nutritional-hydration support represent important aspects in athlete's exercise-induced fatigue management.

Objective: To evaluate the cost-effectiveness of polatuzumab vedotin-rituximab-cyclophosphamide, doxorubicin and prednisone (pola-R-CHP) in CD20-positive patients with previously untreated diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL) in China.

Design: A Markov model was constructed to analyse the cost-effectiveness of two strategies in CD20-positive patients with previously untreated DLBCL over a lifetime horizon: (1) pola-R-CHP and (2) rituximab, cyclophosphamide, doxorubicin, vincristine and prednisone (R-CHOP). The clinical outcomes were obtained from the POLARIX(NCT03274492), SCHOLAR-1, ZUMA-7(NCT03391466) and TRANSFORM(NCT03575351) trials.

Pleurotus ostreatus is a nutrient-dense edible fungus renowned for its delicate texture, appealing flavor, and numerous potential health benefits. Simultaneous extraction within the framework of food resource processing facilitates the concurrent isolation and analysis of multiple target compounds. In this study, an ethanol/salt aqueous two-phase system (ATPS) was employed to extract polysaccharides (PS) and proteins from P.

Research Background: With the increasing consumption of food commodities, particularly rice, and the substantial volume of food imports in Indonesia, there is an increasing need to explore alternative food sources. Rice analogues emerge as a potential substitute for traditional rice, serving as a viable staple food option. The aim of this study is to investigate the effect of the composition of raw material, namely sago and corn flour, on the physicochemical properties and consumer acceptance of rice analogues.

To investigate the association between serum ferritin levels, erythrocyte parameters, and the risk of developing type 2 diabetes mellitus. A total of 11 408 subjects aged 40 to 70 years who underwent physical examinations at a hospital in Qingdao from 2014 to 2015 were enrolled in the study. Data were collected through questionnaires, physical examinations, and assessments of blood biochemical indices, serum ferritin, and related erythrocyte parameters.

Addiction is a chronic and severe mental disorder with high gender- and sex-specificity. However, the pathogenesis of this disorder is not fully elucidated, and no targeted pharmacotherapy is available. A growing body of evidence points out the potential involvement of the ceramide system in the pathophysiology of addiction.
