: Palatal expansion is a common orthodontic technique able to increase the transverse changes for subjects with constricted maxillary arches. The aim of the present investigation was to evaluate through a systematic review the tomography effectiveness of different palatal expander approaches. : The database used to perform the screening and determine the eligibility of the clinical papers was PubMed (Medline). : The database search included a total of 284 results, while 271 articles were excluded. A total of 14 articles were included for the qualitative assessment. : The effectiveness of the present studies reported that skeletal expansion was a useful approach to increase the transverse changes for subjects with constricted maxillary arches.

Background: Cerebral amyloid angiopathy (CAA) has been recognized as one of the morphologic hallmarks of Alzheimer disease (AD). The development of new AD drugs has brought unforeseen challenges that manifest as amyloid-related imaging abnormalities (ARIA) appearing as vasogenic edema/effusion (ARIA-E) and cerebral microhemorrhage/hemosiderosis (ARIA-H). The prominence of CAA pathology in aged squirrel monkeys (SQMs), a New World non-human primate model, underlines the importance of advancing this unique species for use in AD and dementia research.

Objectives: The size, shape, and contractility of the heart's atrial chambers have not been evaluated in fetuses with growth restriction (FGR) or who are small-for-gestational-age (SGA) as defined by the Delphi consensus protocol. This study aimed to examine the atrial chambers using speckle tracking analysis to identify any changes that may be specific for either growth disturbance.
Methods: Sixty-three fetuses were evaluated with an estimated fetal weight <10th percentile who were classified as FGR or SGA based on the Delphi consensus protocol.

Background And Purpose: Embolization is the first-line treatment for dural arteriovenous fistulas (dAVF). The precipitating hydrophobic injectable liquid (PHIL) embolic agent is a non-adhesive copolymer with specific features and endovascular behavior. This study assessed its safety and efficacy in a prospective real-life cohort.
