We describe a case of cutaneous in an 8-year-old Caucasian girl. The lesion appeared ten days after a bath in the river in a valley in the north-east of Piedmont. The patient was successfully treated with Albendazole 400 mg daily for 5 days. Autochthonous cases are rare, particularly in northern Italy. Probably the high temperatures and the high degree of humidity favored by the climate changes to which Europe is subjected are favorable to the development of larvae. The diagnosis of cutaneous should, therefore, be considered also in individuals who have not traveled in geographic areas at risk for the climate.

Aim: Identify values that could predict the presence of increased pressure-pain sensitivity independent of the migraine cycle through a single assessment.
Methods: This was a secondary analysis of a previous study in which 198 episodic and chronic migraine patients were assessed during all phases of the migraine cycle. Pressure pain threshold (PPT) was assessed over the temporalis, cervical spine, hand, and leg.

Rationale: In critically ill patients receiving invasive mechanical ventilation, switching from controlled to assisted ventilation is a crucial milestone towards ventilator liberation. The optimal timing for switching to assisted ventilation has not been studied.
Objectives: Our objective was to determine whether a strategy of early as compared to delayed switching affects the duration of invasive mechanical ventilation, ICU length of stay, and mortality.

exon 14 ex14) skipping occurs in 3-4% of non-small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC) cases. Low frequency of this alteration necessitated open-label, single-arm trials to investigate MET inhibitors. Since broad MET biomarker testing was only recently introduced in many countries, there is a lack of historical real-world data from patients with ex14 skipping NSCLC receiving conventional therapies.

Total hepatectomy and liver transplantation has emerged as a game-changing strategy in the treatment of several liver-confined primary or metastatic tumors, opening the new era of transplant oncology. However, the expansion of indications is going to worsen the chronic scarcity of organs, and new strategies are needed to enlarge the donor pool. A possible source of organs could be developing split liver transplantation (SLT) programs.

The lower limb of Homo naledi presents a suite of primitive, derived and unique morphological features that pose interesting questions about the nature of bipedal movement in this species. The exceptional representation of all skeletal elements in H. naledi makes it an excellent candidate for biomechanical analysis of gait dynamics using modern kinematic software.
