Background: Most patients undergoing pancreaticoduodenectomy (PD) for pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC) develop recurrence. No previous studies have investigated predictors of local-only recurrence following PD for PDAC. Our study aimed to determine timing, pattern and predictors of any-site and local-only recurrence following PD for PDAC.

Obesity and type 2 diabetes (T2D) are strongly linked to abnormal adipocyte metabolism and adipose tissue (AT) dysfunction. However, existing adipose tissue models have limitations, particularly in the stable culture of fat cells that maintain physiologically relevant phenotypes, hindering a deeper understanding of adipocyte biology and the molecular mechanisms behind differentiation. Current model systems fail to fully replicate in vivo metabolism, posing challenges in adipose research.

Introduction: The methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) genome varies by geographical location. This study aims to determine the genomic characteristics of MRSA using whole-genome sequencing (WGS) data from medical centers in Mexico and to explore the associations between antimicrobial resistance genes and virulence factors.
Methods: This study included 27 clinical isolates collected from sterile sites at eight centers in Mexico in 2022 and 2023.

Chlorpyrifos (CPF) is an organophosphorus pesticide of concern because many in vivo animal studies have demonstrated developmental toxicity exerted by this substance; however, despite its widespread use, evidence from epidemiological studies is still limited. In this study, we have collected all the information generated in the twenty-first century on the developmental toxicity of CPF using new approach methodologies. We have critically evaluated and integrated information coming from 70 papers considering human, rodent, avian and fish models.

Background: Recommending comprehensive personalized photoprotection requires an accurate assessment of the patient's skin, including phototype, lifestyle, exposure conditions, environmental factors, and concomitant cutaneous conditions as well as deep knowledge of the available options: sunscreen ingredients (type of filters, spectrum coverage, sun protection factor, enhanced active ingredients), oral photoprotection, and other methods of sun protection and avoidance.
Objectives: To establish consensus-based recommendations endorsed by an international panel of experts for personalized medical photoprotection recommendations that are applicable globally.
Methods: A two-round Delphi study was designed to determine the degree of agreement and relevance of aspects related to personalized medical photoprotection.
