Metabolism of the anabolic steroidal hormone methandrostenolone in Wistar rats was studied by high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) and redioisotope techniques. The conditions for isolation of methandrostenolone metabolites by HPLC were developed. Reduction of the double bonds was shown to be an early stage in methandrostenolone biotransformation. The main portion of the metabolites was excreted with urine as glucuronide conjugates. No sulfoesters were found.

Objectives: Perchlorates, nitrates, and thiocyanates constitute environmental endocrine disruptors; however, health damage caused by absorption through the respiratory tract remains poorly studied. We investigated the effects of inhalation of these pollutants on thyroid function and structure and serum metabolomics in pregnant rats.
Methods: We established a Sprague-Dawley pregnant rat model exposed to perchlorate, nitrate, and thiocyanate at different gestational stages and compared maternal serum thyroid function levels, foetal development, thyroid morphology, and pathological changes between exposed and non-exposed groups at different concentrations.

Alzheimer's disease (AD) is the most frequent cause of dementia. Since there are complex pathophysiological mechanisms behind AD, and there is no effective treatment strategy, it is necessary to introduce novel multi-targeting agents with fewer side effects and higher efficacy. Polydatin (PD) is a naturally occurring resveratrol glucoside employing multiple mechanisms toward neuroprotection.

The main goal of the current study is to estimate the in vivo anti-inflammatory/antioxidant ability of four selected pharmaceutical compounds: bisoprolol (Biso), piracetam (Pirc), clopidogrel (Clop), and cinnarizine (Cinna). Indomethacin (Indo) was used as a reference drug to perform a realistic comparison between the four compounds and the Indo in vivo through tracking PI3K/AKT signaling and computational chemistry via density functional theory (DFT) modeling to analyze the electrostatic potential across the molecule and provide insight into the regions for receptor binding of the studied compounds. To achieve the safe dose of these compounds, cytotoxicity was performed against isolated adipose tissue-derived mesenchymal stem cells (ADMSCs) using MTT assay.

The proposed primary indication for SUVN-I7016031 is in the treatment of dementia such as Alzheimer's disease dementia (ADD) and Parkinson's disease dementia (PDD). In the current research, the pharmacological properties of SUVN-I7016031 in various types of dementia were investigated.
