Background: Endoglin/CD105-microvessel density (CD105-MVD) is identified as one of the most potential methods for semi-quantification of angiogenesis in human cancer tissues. Present study aimed to examine the diagnosticand prognostic value of CD105-MVD in two clinically distinct subtypes of urothelial carcinoma of bladder (UCB) namely non-muscle invasive bladder cancer (NMIBC) and muscle invasive bladder cancer (MIBC) patients.
Methods: Message expression of endoglin was analysed by real-time quantitative polymerase chain reaction (RT-qPCR) and MVD measurement was done by immunohistochemical staining in 90 UCB [NMIBC: 60; MIBC: 30] patients.

The purpose of this study was to evaluate the treatment outcomes of patients with pachychoroid neovasculopathy (PNV) who received photodynamic therapy (PDT) combined with intravitreal anti-vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) agents, with a particular focus on the fluorescein angiography (FA) findings. We retrospectively studied 33 eyes of 32 consecutive treatment-naïve patients with PNV who were scheduled for PDT combined with anti-VEGF agents between November 2017 and May 2022, with a follow-up period of 1 year or longer. We classified patients into two groups: central serous chorioretinopathy (CSC)-dominant type and macular neovascularization (MNV)-dominant type based on the baseline FA findings.

Background: Angiogenesis is associated with tumour growth, infiltration, and metastasis. This study aimed to detect the mechanisms of angiogenesis-related genes (ARGs) in multiple myeloma (MM) and to construct a new prognostic model.
Methods: MM research foundation (MMRF)-CoMMpass cohort, GSE47552, GSE57317, and ARGs were sourced from public databases.

Background: Dynamic contrast-enhanced magnetic resonance imaging (DCE-MRI) can assess tumour vascularity, which depends on the process of angiogenesis and affects tumour response to treatment. Our study explored the associations between DCE-MRI parameters and the expression of plasma angiogenic factors in human papilloma virus (HPV)-negative oropharyngeal cancer, as well as their predictive value for response to concurrent chemoradiotherapy (cCRT).
Patients And Methods: Twenty-five patients with locally advanced HPV-negative oropharyngeal carcinoma were prospectively enrolled in the study.

Transforming growth factor-β (TGFβ) and FoxP3 regulatory T cells (Treg) are involved in human breast carcinogenesis. This topic is not well documented in canine mammary tumors (CMT). In this work, the tumoral TGFβ expression was assessed by immunohistochemistry in 67 malignant CMT and its correlation to previously determined FoxP3, VEGF, and CD31 markers and other clinicopathologic parameters was evaluated.
