Integrin α5β1, also known as the fibronectin receptor, is a key mediator of angiogenesis and its dysregulation is associated with tumor proliferation, progression, and metastasis. Despite numerous efforts, α5β1-targeting therapeutics have been unsuccessful in large part due to efficacy and off-target effects.

Background: Regional anesthesia techniques that provide analgesia to the entire lateral abdomen are limited. We present a modified external oblique intercostal block for complete lateral abdominal analgesia with a single injection.
Case: We performed a modified version of the external oblique intercostal block unilaterally at the tenth rib along the mid-axillary line in three patients undergoing robot-assisted partial nephrectomy (two single injections, one catheter placement) and tested the technique on a cadaver with 20 ml of dye bilaterally.

The electrocatalytic synthesis of multicarbon compounds from CO is a promising method for storing renewable electricity and addressing global CO issues. Single-atom catalysts are promising candidates for CO reduction, but producing high-value multicarbon (C) products using a single-atom structure remains a significant challenge. In this study, a fluorine doping strategy is proposed to facilitate the reconstruction of isolated Cu atoms, promoting multicarbon generation.
