The nacnac Cu(I) compound [LCu(MeCN)] () (L = [{N(CHMe-2,6)C(Me)}CH]) was reacted with complexes containing aromatic -E ([Cp*Fe(η-E)], E = P (), As (), Cp* = η-CMe), -P ([Cp‴Co(η-P)] (), Cp‴ = η-CHBu) and -E ligands ([Cp‴Ni(η-E)], E = P (), As ()) yielding the heterometallic complexes [(Cp*Fe)(μ,η-E)(LCu)] (E = P (), As ()), [(Cp*Fe)(μ,η-E)(LCu)] (E = P (), As ()), [(Cp‴Co)(μ,η-P)(LCu)] (), [(Cp‴Co)(μ,η-P)(LCu)] (), and [(Cp‴Ni)(μ,η-E)(LCu)] (E = P (), As ()). These complexes are rare examples of the coordination of a group 11 metal to aromatic -E (E = P, As; = 3-5) ligands. All products were comprehensively characterized by crystallographic and spectroscopic methods. Their dynamic behavior in solution was studied by VT (variable-temperature) NMR spectroscopy, and their electronic structures were elucidated by DFT calculations.

Nitrogen fixation is essential for the sustainable development of both human society and the environment. Due to the chemical inertness of the N≡N bond, the traditional Haber-Bosch process operates under extreme conditions, making nitrogen fixation under ambient conditions highly desirable but challenging. In this study, we present an ultrasonic atomizing microdroplet method that achieves nitrogen fixation using water and air under ambient conditions in a rationally designed sealed device, without the need for any catalyst.

This study aims to develop castable polyurethane suitable for applications on wet substrates or underwater construction. Polyurethanes were synthesized using various polyols with similar hydroxyl values, including poly(tetrahydrofuran) polyol, polyester polyol, castor oil-modified polyol, soybean oil-modified polyol, and cashew nut shell oil-modified polyol. The corresponding polyurethane curing products were evaluated for their underwater curing characteristics by volume expansion ratios and adhesion strength on dry and wet substrates, combined with analyses of reaction exothermic behavior, wetting properties on dry and wet substrates, interfacial tension, and microstructure characterization from the perspectives of reaction activity and water solubility.
