Pseudo-aneurysm of internal maxillary artery, following a road traffic accident, is a rare clinical scenario. The consequence of pseudo-aneurysm may be spontaneous rupture of the arterial wall, which may eventually lead to life-threatening hemorrhage. We report a case of a 20-year male who presented with recurrent epistaxis. CT scan was performed, which revealed a pseudo-aneurysm of the internal maxillary artery; this was successfully treated by angioembolisation. Similar cases of traumatic pseudo-aneurysms have been reported, however, none presented with recurrent epistaxis after management of pan-facial fractures. Key Words: Epistaxis, Pseudo-aneurysm, Angioembolisation, Pan-facial fracture.

Article Synopsis
  • Pseudoaneurysm is a rare condition where increased pressure causes a rupture in a vein's wall, leading to blood leakage into surrounding tissue.
  • The leaked blood creates a localized hematoma that is surrounded by fibrous tissue and communicates with the original vein, forming a pseudoaneurysm.
  • The article reviews a specific case of a pseudoaneurysm in the right internal jugular vein, focusing on its imaging features and characteristics, highlighting the lack of existing literature on this topic.

Article Synopsis
  • Arterioureteral fistula is a rare but serious complication after kidney transplants, characterized by ongoing urinary bleeding and often linked to aneurysm formation, which can be life-threatening.
  • A 67-year-old patient with end-stage renal failure experienced severe complications after a living donor kidney transplant, including ureteral bleeding and a pseudo-aneurysm in the iliac artery.
  • Despite attempts to treat the aneurysm with stenting, the patient eventually died from its rupture, highlighting the need for better risk management and treatment options for such complications in kidney transplant recipients.
