Background: Lymph node ratio (LNR), log odds of positive lymph nodes (LODDS), and the number of postoperative lymph node staging (pN) are prognostic indicators of various cancers. However, the prognostic values of these indicators remain unclear in hypopharyngeal squamous cell carcinoma (HPSCC). This study's primary objective was to investigate the predictive value of LNR, LODDS, and pN for advanced HPSCC, and the secondary objective was to compare which of the values had the best predictive value for advanced HPSCC.

The use of autogenous auricular cartilage for correction further aggravated nasal alar retraction caused by nasal lining defects after the operation. Background: Reduced-port laparoscopic surgery (RPLS) uses the minimum possible number of ports or small-sized ports in laparoscopic surgery. The combination of RPLS and natural orifice specimen extraction (NOSE) minimizes the procedural damage.
Methods: A total of 17 patients diagnosed with right colon cancer were included: 5 patients in the RPLS + NOSE group and 12 patients in the conventional laparoscopic surgery (CL) + mini-laparotomy (ML) group.

Unfortunately, accurate sea ice modeling is challenging due to the diversity and complexity of underlying physics happening there, and a relative lack of ground truth observations. This is especially true for the Marginal Ice Zone (MIZ), which is the area where sea ice is affected by incoming ocean waves.
