Immunoglobulin G4-related mastitis (IgG4-RM) is an uncommon entity in clinical practice which has an evolving spectrum of manifestations and presently is of high clinical interest among rheumatologists. Since its closest differential remains breast carcinoma, the importance of describing this entity is in the fact that early diagnosis, awareness and timely management can save the patient from unnecessary surgical intervention and its complications. Tumefactive lesions are considered hallmark of this disease, but rarely abscess may also be the presenting feature. In this article, we describe a 24-year-old female patient of a very unusual case of IgG4-RM presenting as recurrent breast abscess, its successful management and discussion about novel treatment strategies.

Purpose: To compare the postoperative outcomes of corticosteroid therapy following biopsy with those following debulking surgery in patients with immunoglobulin G4 (IgG4)-related ophthalmic disease (IgG4-ROD).
Study Design: Retrospective comparative study.
Methods: Fifteen patients diagnosed with IgG4-ROD (5 unilateral, 10 bilateral) were retrospectively analyzed.

Background: IgG4-related cholangitis (IgG4-SC) and primary sclerosing cholangitis (PSC) are chronic fibro-inflammatory hepatobiliary conditions, with genetic, environmental, and immunologic risk factors, in which epigenetic alterations may provide insights into pathophysiology and novel biomarkers. This study is the first to assess methylation signatures in IgG4-SC.
Results: Whole blood DNA methylation profiling and genotyping was performed in 264 individuals; 47 with IgG4-SC, 65 with PSC, 64 with ulcerative colitis (UC), and 88 healthy controls.

Background: Constrictive pericarditis (CP) can arise from various causes, including post-operative degeneration, tuberculosis, and sequelae of pericarditis. Immunoglobulin (Ig) G4-related disease is a rare but recognized cause of CP. However, the specific mechanisms underlying these aetiologies and pathologies remain unclear.

Rosai-Dorfman disease (RDD) is a rare proliferative disorder of histiocytes, and primary solitary RDD of the bone is extremely rare. Some RDDs exhibit increased immunoglobulin (Ig)G4 positive (IgG4+) plasma cell infiltration and the histopathological features of IgG4-related disease (IgG4-RD). However, the association between RDD and IgG4-RD remains unclear.

Objectives: To evaluate the prevalence and clinical associations of anti-C1q antibodies in IgG4-related disease (IgG4-RD), focusing on renal involvement and cutaneous small-vessel vasculitis (CSVV).
Methods: We enrolled patients who met the revised 2020 Comprehensive Diagnostic Criteria and/or the 2019 ACR/EULAR Classification Criteria for IgG4-RD. Variables included demographics, organ involvement, clinical phenotypes, disease activity, serum biomarkers, follow-up duration, remission, and relapses.
