Purpose: To investigate whether the correction amount by balloon kyphoplasty (BKP) is associated with the incidence of adjacent vertebral fractures (AVF).
Methods: Data from 61 patients without and 25 patients with AVF were analyzed. A linear regression model was used between vertebral instability and corrected angle or height to divide patients into the overcorrection and undercorrection groups.
Results: Vertebral fractures overcorrected for instability led to a higher incidence rate of AVF [42.4% and 46.9% with overcorrection vs. 10.7% and 13.3% with undercorrection for angle and height, respectively].
Conclusions: Overcorrection of fractured vertebrae may associate with the increased incidence of AVF.

Background: Many researchers have proposed incorporating orbital volume (OV) discrepancies between the affected and unaffected orbits into routine diagnostic processes as an indicator for early surgical repair of zygomatic complex fractures (ZMCFxs) to avoid postoperative ocular complications.
Purpose: The study aimed to determine the correlation between the preoperative OV discrepancy and postoperative globe position.
Study Design, Setting, Sample: A retrospective cohort study was performed on patients with unilateral ZMCFxs associated with orbital floor fractures, treated at Al-Zahraa Hospital, Al-Azhar University, from January 2020 to July 2023.

Introduction: Spinal deformity in adults is a major public health problem. After failure of conservative treatment, correction and fusion surgery leads to clinical and radiological improvement. However, mechanical complications and more particularly - proximal junctional kyphosis (PJK) - are common with an incidence of 10%-40% depending on the studies.
