»: Longitudinal clinical and radiographic success of total shoulder arthroplasty (TSA) is critically dependent on optimal glenoid component position.
»: Historically, preoperative templating utilized radiographs with commercially produced overlay implant templates and a basic understanding of glenoid morphology.
»: The advent of 3-dimensional imaging and templating has achieved more accurate and precise pathologic glenoid interrogation and glenoid implant positioning than historical 2-dimensional imaging.
»: Advanced templating allows for the understanding of unique patient morphology, the recognition and anticipation of potential operative challenges, and the prediction of implant limitations, and it provides a method for preoperatively addressing abnormal glenoid morphology.
»: Synergistic software, implants, and instrumentation have emerged with the aim of improving the accuracy of glenoid component implantation. Additional studies are warranted to determine the ultimate efficacy and cost-effectiveness of these technologies, as well as the potential for improvements in TSA outcomes.

The development of diverse microstructures has substantially contributed to recent progress in high-performance electromagnetic wave (EMW) absorption materials, providing a versatile platform for the modulation of absorption properties. Exploring multidimensional microstructures and developing tailored and gentle strategies for their precise optimization can substantially address the current challenges posed by relatively unclear underlying mechanisms. Here, a series of 2D/1D heterogeneous NiO@PPy composites featuring hollow hierarchical microstructures are successfully synthesized using a straightforward strategy combining sacrificial templating with chemical oxidative polymerization.

Ice melting, a common yet complex phenomenon, remains incompletely understood. While theoretical studies suggest that preexisting defects in ice generate "off-lattice" water molecules, triggering bulk ice melting, direct experimental evidence of their form has been lacking as the transparent and transient nature of ice poses significant challenges for observation with current techniques. Here, we introduce an ice-melting-induced lyophilization (IMIL) technique that employs graphene-based nanoprobes to replicate and track liquid evolution within melting bulk ice.

Introduction: Uveal melanoma remains a disease with aggressive behavior and poor prognosis despite advances in clinical management. Because monotherapy with immune checkpoint inhibitors has led to limited improvement in response rates, combination with other agents that act on the biological basis of oncogenesis has been proposed as a possible therapeutic strategy.
Methods: We designed a phase 1b trial to test the safety and tolerability of selinexor in combination with immune checkpoint inhibitors in patients with advanced uveal melanoma.

Objectives: The current research delves into the use of 3D geometric morphometric for assessing shifts in maturity within both the proximal and distal humeral metaphyses. It mainly focuses on establishing correlations between these shifts and the shape changes observed in the corresponding epiphyses established through radiographic imaging.
Material And Methods: The total sample comprises 120 right-side proximal humeral metaphyses and 91 right-side distal humeral metaphyses.

Crystalline porous materials, known for their ordered structures, hold promise for efficient hydroxide conductivity in alkaline fuel cells with limited ionic densities. However, the rigid cross-linking of porous materials precludes their processing into membranes, while composite membranes diminish materials' conductivity advantage due to the interrupted phases. Here, we report a self-standing three-dimensional covalent organic framework (3D COF) membrane with efficient OH-transport through its interconnected 3D ionic nanochannels.
