Application of , and has been reported to improve the growth of multiple plant species. is a medicinal plant found in Saudi Arabia. Its leaves, flowers and fruit have been used as food. is rich in rutin and gallic acid and many other bioactive compounds, which collectively contribute to its demonstrated range of pharmacological activities. In Saudi Arabia, the semi-arid and arid weather presents a significant challenge to agriculture. High salinity in cultivated land is a particular threat. We applied , , and at multiple salinities to to investigate their effects on the growth, yield, and photosynthetic pigment content. We also examined possible changes in the phytochemical composition. The application of , and enhanced plant growth and yield, while inhibition was observed at high (6000 ppm) salinity. The presence of and altered plant growth and yield and rutin and gallic acid content of plants grown in saline conditions. Microalgae species were recommended for use as a bio-fertiliser alternative to mainstream synthetic fertilisers.

Plant architecture greatly contributes to grain yield, but the epigenetic regulation of plant architecture remains elusive. Here, we identified the maize (Zea mays L.) mutant plant architecture 1 (par1), which shows reduced plant height, shorter and narrower leaves, and larger leaf angles than the wild type.

Proper regulation of the source-sink relationship is an effective way to increase crop yield. Gibberellin (GA) is an important regulator of plant growth and development, and physiological evidence has demonstrated that GA can promote source-sink sucrose partitioning. However, the underlying molecular mechanism remains unclear.

Introduction: Before performing cell therapy clinical trials, it is important to understand how cells are influenced by different growth conditions and to find optimal xeno-free medium formulations. In this study we have investigated the properties of adipose tissue-derived stem cells (ASCs) cultured under xeno-free conditions.
Methods: Human lipoaspirate samples were digested to yield the stromal vascular fraction cells which were then seeded in i) Minimum Essential Medium-α (MEM-α) supplemented with 10 % (v/v) fetal bovine serum (FBS), ii) MEM-α supplemented with 2 % (v/v) human platelet lysate (PLT) or iii) PRIME-XV MSC expansion XSFM xeno-free, serum free medium (XV).

Heat stress (HS) at the reproductive stage detrimentally affects crop yields and seed quality. However, the molecular mechanisms that protect reproductive processes in plants under HS remain largely unknown. Here, we report that Acetylation Lowers Binding Affinity 3 (ALBA3) is crucial for safeguarding male fertility against HS in Arabidopsis.
