Purpose: To evaluate the target volume (TV) and critical organ doses with priority of testes with the comparison of conformal radiotherapy (CRT), dynamic intensity-modulated radiotherapy (DIMRT), and volumetric modulated arc therapy (VMAT) techniques.
Materials And Methods: CRT, DIMRT, and VMAT techniques were generated on computed tomography images in prone position of 10 male patients with distal rectal cancer. Conformity index (CI), heterogeneity index (HI), treatment time, and monitor units were examined; dose-volume-histograms (DVHs) for the TV and the organs at risk (OARs) were evaluated.
Results: Target dose coverage of all treatment plans was similar. HI and CI values for DIMRT and VMAT were closer to "1" compared to CRT. DVH parameters for OARs were decreased with DIMRT and VMAT compared to CRT. The percent volume (V) of 3 Gy dose of testes was 62.01% (±25.45%), 42.68% (±16.42%), and 35.89% (±14.97%) in the CRT, DIMRT, and VMAT techniques, respectively. V of testes decreased with VMAT compared to CRT and DIMRT (P = 0.008 and P = 0.051, respectively).
Conclusion: Modern radiotherapy techniques are superior to conformal techniques in planning quality parameters and sparing OARs. DIMRT and VMAT could be considered instead of CRT in the desire to preserve fertility of patients with rectal cancer.

Objective: Compared the dosimetric characteristics of half-field-based VMAT and half-field-based IMRT for left breast cancer patients combined with deep inspiration breath-hold (DIBH) and free breathing (FB) techniques.
Methods: Twenty-one left breast cancer patients were included. Each patient underwent DIBH and FB CT scans, IMRT and VMAT plans in half-field beam mode for both breathing techniques, resulting in four plans: FB-IMRT (F-IMRT), FB-VMAT (F-VMAT), DIBH-IMRT (D-IMRT) and DIBH-VMAT (D-VMAT).

Aim: This study aimed to evaluate the efficacy of static or step-and-shoot intensity-modulated radiotherapy (ssIMRT) and dynamic intensity-modulated radiotherapy (dIMRT) delivery techniques for various treatment sites.
Materials And Methods: The treatment planning system (TPS) was utilized to develop optimal treatment plans for twenty-seven patients selected for this comparative study, including nine with head and neck cancer, nine with prostate cancer, and nine with cervical cancer. The prescribed doses were 7000cGy/33fr, 7425cGy/33fr, and 5000cGy/25fr for the nasopharynx, prostate, and cervix cases, respectively, in both ssIMRT and dIMRT delivery techniques.

The leaf trailing effect has recently been described as the result of the interplay between the fluence transmitted through the leaf tip ends of each MLC layer. Objective: To study the dosimetric importance of Jaw tracking technique in reducing the doses to organs at risk (OAR) while achieving the optimal dose coverage for the target.
Methods: We retrospectively selected ten Glioblastoma cases and for each patient, two plans were created namely Static Jaw Technique Dynamic Intensity Modulated Radiotherapy plan and Jaw Tracking Technique D-IMRT plan with 6 MV for Varian Truebeam™ STx machine using Eclipse Treatment planning system. Both plans were analyzed and compared based on various dosimetric parameters for Planning Target Volume (PTV) and OARs.
