We present a design of a nanoscale inertial measurement unit or a data archive using a graphene-nanoflake (GNF) sandwiched between crossed graphene-nanoribbon (GNR) junctions. When an external force applied is below the retracting force, the inertial force exerted on the movable GNF can telescope it. Then, the self-restoring force increases as the attractive van der Waals force between the GNF and the GNRs, which enables the GNF to automatically and fully retract back into the sandwich position immediately after the externally applied force is released. When the external force exceeds the retracting force, the GNF escapes from the crossed GNR junctions, which enables the device to be used as non-volatile memory. The heterostructure of GNR/-BN/GNR can be considered as an advanced structure in the proposed scheme.

In this study, a novel rapid immunochromatographic (IC) test for African swine fever virus (ASFV) antibodies is presented. An immunochromatographic test (IC) is a detection technique that combines membrane chromatography with immunolabeling. This approach saves time for antibody preparation, resulting in a shorter production cycle.

Background: Advanced liver fibrosis in cases of metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD) leads to cirrhosis and hepatocellular carcinoma. The current gold standard for liver fibrosis is invasive liver biopsy. Therefore, a less invasive biomarker that accurately reflects the stage of liver fibrosis is highly desirable.

Peanuts are highly nutritious but pose a significant risk of triggering food allergies. While heat treatment can reduce the allergenicity of many foods, it may also alter their structure, potentially impacting detection results. This study employed double antibody sandwich enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (DAS-ELISA) and lateral flow immunochromatography (LFIA) to evaluate the allergen Ara h 3 following heat-moisture treatment.
