Purpose Of Review: We present a contemporary approach to risk assessment and management of patients with anomalous aortic origin of a coronary artery (AAOCA).
Recent Findings: Anomalous left coronary artery from the right aortic sinus (L-AAOCA) with interarterial course carries a high risk of sudden cardiac death (SCD); therefore, current guidelines recommend exercise restriction and surgical intervention. Recent data in intraseptal and juxtacommissural L-AAOCA showed inducible perfusion abnormalities, leading to consideration of surgical intervention.

Background/objectives: We aimed to establish biatrial and biventricular reference ranges using cardiac magnetic resonance (CMR) parameters in SCD patients without heart damage.
Methods: This study compared CMR parameters, quantified by cine SSFP sequences, in 48 adult SCD patients without apparent cardiac involvement (defined by the absence of known risk factors, normal electrocardiogram, and no macroscopic myocardial fibrosis or significant cardiac iron on T2* CMR) to matched cohorts of 96 healthy controls and 96 thalassemia major (TM) patients without cardiac damage. Nine paediatric SCD patients were also analysed and compared to age- and gender-matched groups of nine TM patients and nine healthy subjects.

Background: A subset of patients with mitral valve prolapse (MVP), a highly heritable condition, experience sudden cardiac arrest (SCA) or sudden cardiac death (SCD). However, the inheritance of phenotypic imaging features of arrhythmic MVP remains unknown.
Methods: We recruited 23 MVP probands, including 9 with SCA/SCD and 14 with frequent/complex ventricular ectopy.

Background: Left ventricular (LV) myocardial contraction patterns can be assessed using LV mechanical dispersion (LVMD), a parameter closely associated with electrical activation patterns. Despite its potential clinical significance, limited research has been conducted on LVMD following myocardial infarction (MI). This study aims to evaluate the predictive value of cardiac magnetic resonance (CMR)-derived LVMD for adverse clinical outcomes and to explore its correlation with myocardial scar heterogeneity.

The aim of this study was to evaluate for the effects of forsythiaside A (FA) on myocardial injury in streptozotocin (STZ)-induced diabetes mice. Blood glucose (BG), serum triglycerides (TG), lactate dehydrogenase (LDH), creatine kinase isoenzyme (CK-MB), cardiac troponin (cTnI), malondialdehyde (MDA), superoxide dismutase (SOD) levels were detected in STZ mice. The structure and function of heart was observed via cardiac ultrasound.
