Objective: To determine the preeclampsia-associated features of homeostasis in pregnant woman after ART to clarify the possible mechanisms and factors of preeclampsia.
Design: A prospective study.
Setting: Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductology, Shupyk National Medical Academy of Postgraduate Education, Kyiv, Ukraine.
Methods: The 150 pregnant woman after ART were examined: 48 with preeclampsia (subgroup 1), 102 preeclampsia-free (subgroup 2). The liver enzymes in blood: alanine aminotransferase (ALT), aspartate aminotransferase (AST); the lipid metabolism indices: total cholesterol (TC), high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C), low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C), very-low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (VLDL-C), aterogenity index (AI), triglycerides (TG), 25-hydroxy-vitamin D concentration, cytokines: interleukin-1, -2, -6, -8, -10 (IL-1, IL-2,, IL-6, IL-8, IL-10), tumor necrosis factor (TNF), number of platelets, platelet aggregate function, fibrinogen (F), activated partial thrombin time (aPTT), soluble fibrin monomer complexes (SFMC), D-dimer, von Willebrand factor (VWF) activity were measured. To compare the means Students t-test was used.
Results: In women with preeclampsia, the transaminase levels and lipidogram indices (TG, LDL, LDL, AI) are elevated. Blood vitamin D are decreased (25.92±4.76 vs. 38.42±5.12 ng/mL, p.

Pregnancy complications pose challenges for both pregnant women and obstetricians globally, with the pathogenesis of many remaining poorly understood. Recently coined as a mode of cell death, cuproptosis has been proposed but remains largely unexplored. This process involves copper overload, resulting in the accumulation of fatty acylated proteins and subsequent loss of iron-sulfur cluster proteins.

Aims: To assess the efficacy and safety of automated insulin delivery (AID) systems compared to standard care in managing glycaemic control during pregnancy in women with Type 1 Diabetes Mellitus (T1DM).
Methods: We searched MEDLINE, Cochrane Library, registries and conference abstracts up to June 2024 for randomized controlled trials (RCTs) and observational studies comparing AID to standard care in pregnant women with T1DM. We conducted random effects meta-analyses for % of 24-h time in range of 63-140 mg/dL (TIR), time in hyperglycaemia (> 140 mg/dl and > 180 mg/dL), hypoglycaemia (< 63 mg/dl and < 54 mg/dL), total insulin dose (units/kg/day), glycemic variability (%), changes in HbA1c (%), maternal and fetal outcomes.

: In the case of threatened preterm birth (PTB) before the 34th week of pregnancy, the application of antenatal corticosteroids (ACSs) for the maturation of the fetal lung is a standard procedure in perinatal medicine. Common diagnoses for ACS use in pregnancy are the preterm rupture of membranes (PPROMs), placental bleeding, premature labor, preeclampsia, oligohydramnios, amniotic infection syndrome (AIS), and cervical insufficiency. The aim of this study was to investigate whether the current diagnosis, which results in ACS, and the patient's risk factors influence the risk of PTB events.

The management of type 1 diabetes in pregnancy with new technologies is challenging. Sometimes the complexity of new-generation systems such as "continuous subcutaneous insulin infusion, CSII" and patient or provider preference do not allow their use, so women with type 1 diabetes in pregnancy continue to be treated with subcutaneous multiple-injection insulin therapy using pens. Smart insulin pens are new tools that allow for data collection on insulin dose and time of administration and have additional connectivity features.

Background: Paternal preconception alcohol exposure affects fetal development; however, it is largely unknown about the influences on offspring vasculature and mechanisms.
Methods: Offspring born form paternal rats treated with alcohol or water before pregnant was raised until 3 months of age. Vessel tone of mesenteric arteries was detected using myograph system; whole-cell calcium channel current in smooth muscle cells was tested using patch-clamp; molecule expressions were detected with real-time PCR, western blotting, and Dihydroethidium (DHE); DNA methylations were determined using targeted bisulfate sequencing assay.
