Bluetongue virus (BTV) and epizootic hemorrhagic disease virus (EHDV) are vector-borne orbiviruses that pose an emerging threat to livestock, including cattle and sheep. This review summarizes the global distribution, genetic diversity, and key factors driving their spread along with the existing knowledge gaps and recommendations to mitigate their impact. Both viruses cause hemorrhagic disease in susceptible ruminants and are commonly reported in tropical and subtropical regions including North America, Asia, Africa, Oceania, and some parts of Europe.

This paper introduces RWA-BFT, a reputation-weighted asynchronous Byzantine Fault Tolerance (BFT) consensus algorithm designed to address the scalability and performance challenges of blockchain systems in large-scale IoT scenarios. Traditional centralized IoT architectures often face issues such as single points of failure and insufficient reliability, while blockchain, with its decentralized and tamper-resistant properties, offers a promising solution. However, existing blockchain consensus mechanisms struggle to meet the high throughput, low latency, and scalability demands of IoT applications.

Aiming at the problems of a six-degree-of-freedom robotic arm in a three-dimensional multi-obstacle space, such as low sampling efficiency and path search failure, an improved fast extended random tree (RRT*) algorithm for robotic arm path planning method (abbreviated as HP-APF-RRT*) is proposed. The algorithm generates multiple candidate points per iteration, selecting a sampling point probabilistically based on heuristic values, thereby optimizing sampling efficiency and reducing unnecessary nodes. To mitigate increased search times in obstacle-dense areas, an artificial potential field (APF) approach is integrated, establishing gravitational and repulsive fields to guide sampling points around obstacles toward the target.

Artificial intelligence (AI) in echocardiography represents a transformative advancement in cardiology, addressing longstanding challenges in cardiac diagnostics. Echocardiography has traditionally been limited by operator-dependent variability and subjective interpretation, which impact diagnostic reliability. This study evaluates the role of AI, particularly machine learning (ML), in enhancing the accuracy and consistency of echocardiographic image analysis and its potential to complement clinical expertise.

: This study aimed to explore antibiotic prescribing practices for dental implant placement in Croatia. : We conducted a cross-sectional questionnaire-based study including dentists in Croatia who perform dental implant therapy. The questionnaire assessed the dentists' age, working experience, education level, and whether they use antibiotics for dental implant placement, as well as the choice of antibiotics, timing, and reasons for antibiotics use.
