Bone fractures are associated with hypoxia, but no longitudinal studies of perfusion measurements in human patients have been reported despite the clinical and research potential. In this longitudinal observational cohort study, the near-infrared spectroscopy (NIRS) device PortaMon was used to assess oxy-(OHb), deoxy-(HHb) and total (tHb) haemoglobin, as well as the differences between OHb and HHb (Hb) and the tissue saturation index (TSI) at three different depths in the fracture gap. Linear mixed effect models were fitted to analyse time effects.

Hematoma formation is a rare complication following axillary osmidrosis surgery, and its delayed liquefaction can pose significant risks to flap viability, leading to complications such as necrosis. This study examines two cases of postoperative hematomas, highlighting the importance of appropriate drainage management. In both cases, the initial hematomas were evacuated and treated with Penrose drains, but complications arose due to delayed liquefaction.

Traditional microneedle (MN) technology offers unique advantages in treating wound infections; however, its single-function design lacks the capability for real-time monitoring of wound conditions, often resulting in uncontrolled drug release. Herein, an anti-infective and intelligent MN patch (SP-CSMN) integrating three functional modules is developed, including temperature monitoring, Bluetooth wireless communication, and responsive drug release. The patch employed chitosan (CS) as a porous substrate, filled with temperature-sensitive poly(N-isopropylacrylamide) (PNIPAM) to encapsulate and release the antibiotic rifampicin.

Purpose: The aim of this study was to determine whether ultrasound guidance can reduce the duration, blood loss volume and invasiveness of surgery for internal fixator removal.
Methods: The clinical data from 35 adults patients who underwent ultrasound-guided surgical removal of internal fixators after complete healing of limb fractures between June 2019 and April 2023 were retrospectively analysed and compared with those from 34 controls who underwent the procedure without ultrasound guidance. Data concerning the patients' demographic and clinical characteristics and surgical sites were collected.
Objective: Aim: The aim of this study is to determine the dynamics of histoarchitectural changes in the bone-ceramic regenerate after transplantation β-tricalcium phosphate into an experimental defect in the rabbit mandible.
Patients And Methods: Materials and Methods: Adult male rabbits aged 6-7 months and weighing 2.5-3 kg were used for the study.
