Inaccuracy of ischiofemoral space (IFS) measurement may result in radiographic misdiagnosis of ischiofemoral impingement, as well as insufficient or excessive osseous resection when surgery is indicated. This study compared the IFS measured in magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) performed in distinct health services for the same patient. Sixty-five patients (95 hips) who had hip MRI performed at an outside institution (noncontrolled MRI) followed by a hip MRI with lower extremity positioning reproducing the standing position (controlled MRI) were studied. For each hip, the IFS measured in the noncontrolled MRI was compared to the IFS measured in the controlled MRI. The categorization of a hip as presenting decreased IFS (≤17 mm) or normal IFS (>17 mm) changed in 19% of the hips when comparing the noncontrolled MRI to the controlled MRI. From the 32 hips (34%) with a difference ≥4 mm in the IFS, the predominant positioning change was hip flexion/extension in 47%, hip rotation in 44%, and hip abduction/adduction in 9%. In conclusion, a difference >4 mm in the IFS was observed in 1 out of every 3 hips when comparing noncontrolled MRI with controlled MRI reproducing the lower limb positioning in the standing position.

Background: Alemtuzumab (ALEM) is a humanised monoclonal antibody that depletes circulating lymphocytes by selectively targeting CD52, which is expressed in high levels on T- and B-lymphocytes. This depletion is followed by lymphocyte repopulation and a cytokine expression shift towards a lesser inflammatory profile, both of which may contribute to prolonged efficacy. National recommendations for enrolling and treating multiple sclerosis (MS) patients with ALEM have been established.

Introduction: To date, there is limited evidence on the effects of bronchodilators on respiratory dynamics in chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). Dynamic chest radiography (DCR) is a novel radiographic modality that provides real-time, objective and quantifiable kinetic data, including changes in the lung area (Rs), tracheal diameter, diaphragmatic kinetics and pulmonary ventilation during respiration, at a lower radiation dose than that used by fluoroscopic or CT imaging. However, the therapeutic effect of dual bronchodilators on respiratory kinetics, such as chest wall dynamics and respiratory muscle function, has not yet been prospectively evaluated using DCR.

This systematic review aimed to summarize the most recent data on changes in brain structure and function in premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD) as well as elucidate the possible correlations between these findings and symptom severity. Articles published in PubMed, EMBASE, ScienceDirect, PsycInfo, Web of Science, and Scopus from inception until April 2023 were systematically reviewed according to the PICO framework: population (women with PMDD), intervention (neuroimaging study), control (healthy subjects), and outcome (neuroimaging changes). In total, 1026 individuals were included from controlled (n = 22) and non-controlled (n = 2) trials.

Prostate-specific membrane antigen (PSMA) and gastrin-releasing peptide receptors are both overexpressed in prostate cancer (PC) but may provide complementary information.Ga-PSMA-R2 and Ga-NeoB (DOTA--aminomethylaniline-diglycolic acid-DPhe-Gln-Trp-Ala-Val-Gly-His-NH-CH[CH-CH(CH)]) are novel PET radiopharmaceuticals that were developed for theranostic use. In this phase II imaging study, we assessed the feasibility, safety, and diagnostic performance of Ga-NeoB and Ga-PSMA-R2 PET/MRI for detection of biochemically recurrent PC.

Background: Accurate preoperative assessment of supraspinatus tendon tear (STT) size is important for surgical planning. Our aims were to evaluate the correlation between stage 1 STT size measured preoperatively by quantitative magnetic resonance imaging (qMRI) and size measured perioperatively by arthroscopy. The concordance between preoperative tear size and the surgical plan was also assessed.
