This study investigates the properties of a binary binder system consisting of calcined dolomite powder (CDP) and rice husk ash (RHA). To conduct the study, a reference mixture containing 100% ordinary Portland cement (OPC) and six other concrete mixtures containing a binary binder system with different proportions of CDP and RHA were prepared and tested. Testing was conducted for workability, setting time, dry shrinkage, and mechanical strength at different curing times. The results indicate that the binary system CDP-RHA have mechanical properties better than that of OPC. In addition, the results indicate that the mixture containing 50% CDP and 50% RHA is optimal in terms of mechanical strength.

(1) Background: Medical graduates who have undertaken longitudinal rural training have consistently been found to be more likely to become rural doctors and work in primary care settings. A limitation of such findings is the heterogeneous nature of rural medical education and contested views of what constitutes 'rurality', especially as it is often reported as a binary concept (rural compared to metropolitan). To address the identified gaps in workforce outcomes for rural medical training and to demonstrate accountability to the communities we serve, we investigated whether Longitudinal Integrated Clerkship (LIC) graduates are practicing in communities with similar rural classification to those where they trained.

Purpose: There are no standardized chest binding guidelines available to health care providers serving transgender and nonbinary individuals, exacerbating the significant health disparities affecting this community. Our study aimed to demonstrate the need for further evidence-based investigations into the association between chest binder type and health outcomes.
Methods: For this cross-sectional observational study, a community-engaged online survey evaluating individuals' experiences with their current or most recent chest binder was distributed to LGBTQ+ community centers, online forums, and clinics from July to November 2021.

This study examines the impact of sodium citrate and a plasticizing additive, along with their sequential introduction into a cement slurry or concrete mix, on the heat evolution of the cement slurry, the microstructure, phase composition of the cement paste, and the compressive strength of fine-grained concrete. The binder used in this research was a blended binder consisting of 90% Portland cement and 10% calcium aluminate cement. This type of binder is characterized by an increased heat evolution and accelerated setting time.
