Signal transducers and activators of transcription (STATs) family of proteins are the key signal molecules in the JAK-STAT classical activation pathway of cell biology. STAT6, as a member of the STATs family, is principally activated by IL-4 and IL-13. In addition to Th2 cell differentiation, it plays a crucial role in promoting the development, differentiation, and class switching of B cells. STAT6 deficiency leads to impaired immune function, decreased glycolysis, and morphological changes in B cells, which will help develop various diseases. In this review, we will systematically summarize the major findings of how STAT6 regulates B cells to reveal the potential of STAT6 in treating human diseases.

Shifts in cytosolic pH have been recognized as key signaling events and mounting evidence supports the interdependence between H and Ca signaling in eukaryotic cells. Among the cellular pH-stats, K/H exchange at various membranes is paramount in plant cells. Vacuolar K/H exchangers of the NHX (Na,K/H exchanger) family control luminal pH and, together with K and H transporters at the plasma membrane, have been suggested to also regulate cytoplasmic pH.

Objective: To determine the prevalence of compassion fatigue, compassion satisfaction and burnout and identify the socio-demographic and work-related factors associated with compassion fatigue among FCPS Part-II trainees in Pakistan.
Method: A cross-sectional study of FCPS-II trainees was conducted using stratified sampling at multiple centers over six months. Data was collected through an online, self-administered survey, which consisted of the 30-item ProQOL-V and a socio-demographic and work-related characteristics questionnaire.

Notch ligands and receptors, including JAG1/2, DLL1/4, and Notch1/3, are enriched on macrophages (MΦs), fibroblast-like synoviocytes (FLS), and/or endothelial cells in rheumatoid arthritis (RA) compared with normal synovial tissues (ST). Power Doppler ultrasound-guided ST studies reveal that the Notch family is highly involved in early active RA, especially during neovascularization. In contrast, the Notch family is not implicated during the erosive stage, evidenced by their lack of correlation with radiographic damage in RA ST.
