With the increase of grape planting years, the base number of pathogenic seedlings and insect population is gradually rising. In addition, the introduction, breeding system and control of seedlings are not standardized and other human factors, the occurrence of () on grape is becoming more and more serious, resulting in a prominent problem of yield decline. In this paper, the occurrence of was monitored and its control effect was tested from the perspective of ecological balance. Finally, the biological characteristics and control of were studied. The spore catcher was used to catch the pathogen spores of , and the amount of sporangium scattering reached its peak from August to September Spore scattering is affected by meteorological factors, and the temperature has reached a very significant level, and the low temperature and high humidity conditions are conducive to the disease; The results showed that the resistance frequency of 304 .strains to was higher than 50%; the volatile compounds produced by yeast ( sp.) YE-3-2 significantly inhibited the growth of (inhibition rate was 62.93%, according to the occurrence regularity of , the accurate and effective agricultural measures had a good control effect on , which could improve the quality of grape fruit and provide some help for the prevention of grape gray mold.

Assessing vines' vigour is essential for vineyard management and automatization of viticulture machines, including shaking adjustments of berry harvesters during grape harvest or leaf pruning applications. To address these problems, based on a standardized growth class assessment, labeled ground truth data of precisely located grapevines were predicted with specifically selected Machine Learning (ML) classifiers (Random Forest Classifier (RFC), Support Vector Machines (SVM)), utilizing multispectral UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) sensor data. The input features for ML model training comprise spectral, structural, and texture feature types generated from multispectral orthomosaics (spectral features), Digital Terrain and Surface Models (DTM/DSM- structural features), and Gray-Level Co-occurrence Matrix (GLCM) calculations (texture features).

Botrytis cinerea is the causal agent of gray mold, which is one of the most widespread and destructive fungal diseases that compromises the productivity and quality of grapes produced throughout the world. This work aimed to verify, for the first time, the impact of unencapsulated carvacrol and encapsulated in Eudragit® nanocapsules (Eud-Carv NCs) and chia mucilage (Chia-Carv NCs) on mycelial growth and spore germination of B. cinerea.

Autophagy plays an important role in responding to necrotrophic pathogens and plant signal hormones. Brassinosteroids (BRs) are a class of natural steroidal phytohormones that effectively regulated the disease resistance responses in grape. However, the molecular mechanism of BR-autophagy networks responsible for activation of host defense against gray mold remained to be elucidated.

Grape pomace (GP) is a byproduct of the viticulture industry and shows promise for feeding dairy cattle as well as reducing enteric methane (CH) emissions. This study investigates the potential of using fresh GP in dairy cow feeding and its effects on CH emissions. Multiparous Holstein dairy cows (n = 24, 205 ± 39 DIM) were housed in free stall barns and provided rations consisting of alfalfa hay, wheat hay, almond hulls, cottonseed, and grain mix.

November 2024

College of Ocean Food and Biological Engineering, Jimei University, Xiamen 361021, China.

The primary cause of postharvest loss in table grape fruit is attributed to gray mold, which is caused by . The present study confirmed the inhibitory effects of nystatin on the growth and development of , which led to a remarkable reduction in the severity of gray mold on table grape fruits. Furthermore, the application of nystatin disrupted the membrane permeability of , causing increased cellular leakage and cell death.
