Background: Hospital preparedness for accidents like fires is essential because fire outbreaks in healthcare settings can occur anytime and require quick responses. Therefore, this study assessed the knowledge of fire safety and emergency preparedness among healthcare workers, as well as the predictors of knowledge of fire safety and emergency preparedness among healthcare workers.
Methods: An institutional-based descriptive cross-sectional online survey was employed to assess knowledge of fire safety and emergency preparedness among 257 healthcare workers from three hospitals in the Kunene region.

Abortion is taboo in Pakistani society, and it is stigmatised throughout the country, regardless of legal permission. Despite the burdens imposed by social norms of pronatalism and motherhood, women do exercise agency to have abortions. This study explores the experiences of women who have had induced abortions and maintained their social status within the community.

Purpose: In early-stage breast cancer, steatotic liver disease (SLD) is associated with increased recurrence, cardiovascular events, and non-cancer death. Endocrine therapy (ET) increases the risk of SLD. The impact of cyclin-dependent kinases 4/6 inhibitors (CDK4/6i) on SLD and prognostic association in metastatic breast cancer is unknown.

Joint source channel anytime coding (JSCAC) is a kind of joint source channel coding (JSCC) systems based on the causal spatially coupled coding and joint expanding window decoding (JEWD) techniques. JSCAC demonstrates greatly improved error correction performance, as well as higher decoding complexity. This work proposes a joint hybrid window decoding (JHWD) algorithm for JSCAC systems, aiming to reduce the decoding complexity while maintaining comparable error correction performance with the state of the art.
