Background: Although the importance of early diagnosis of malignant tumors is a major concern, an easily accessible in-house method has not been established.
Objectives: To investigate the most optimal model by combining thymidine kinase 1 (TK1) autoantibody, extracellular protein kinase A (ECPKA) autoantibody, TK1 antigen, C-reactive protein (CRP), age, breed, and sex.
Animals: Serum samples from 1702 dogs were collected from local animal hospitals and referral animal medical centers in Korea.

In contrast to the extensive evidence from animal studies, only few human data are available on the relation of vascular growth factors and collateral function as well as on the conditions which may modify their release or function. In 31 patients with total coronary occlusion (TCOs) blood was collected from distal to the occlusion site (collateral circulation) and from the aortic root (systemic circulation). Serum was used to assess its mitogenic potential in [H]-thymidine incorporation assay on human umbilical vein endothelial cells.

Over the past decade, metabolomic research in livestock and poultry has gained considerable momentum; however, quail metabolomics still lags behind that of livestock species such as chickens, pigs, and cattle. Quails are important models due to their low-cost protein sources-both eggs and meat-and practical benefits such as minimal space requirements, high egg production, disease resistance, and rapid reproduction. Therefore, it is necessary to systematically understand the effects of various factors on quail metabolism to provide a theoretical basis for accurate feeding and breeding practices.

Background And Objective: Prostate-specific antigen (PSA) is of limited value as a surrogate marker for overall survival (OS) in prostate cancer (PC). Serum thymidine kinase 1 (sTK1) is an enzyme expressed by actively dividing cells. Our aim was to evaluate the value of sTK1 as prognostic biomarker in metastatic hormone-sensitive PC (mHSPC) and metastatic castration-resistant PC (mCRPC).

Objectives: Low-dose interleukin 2 (Ld-IL2) is increasingly being explored as an immune-modulating treatment for autoimmune diseases which mainly affect T cell subsets. This study investigates the metabolic effects of Ld-IL2 therapy in patients with primary Sjögren's syndrome (pSS).
Method: A total of 60 patients were recruited to conduct a double-blind, randomized clinical trial.
