Tongue squamous cell carcinoma (TSCC) is a common malignant oral cancer characterized by substantial invasion, a high rate of lymph node and distant metastasis, and a high recurrence rate. This study aims to provide new ideas for the diagnosis and treatment of TSCC patients by exploring the related mechanisms that affect the migration and invasion of TSCC and inhibit the migration and spread of cancer cells. The results indicated the rate of high expression of IL-17 in cancer tissues was greater than that in tongue tissues, and the expression of IL-17 was related to the TNM stage.

Introduction: The purpose of this European multicenter study was to describe and assess the characteristics, diagnosis, management, and recurrence of oral malignant melanoma at different European oral and maxillofacial surgery centers.

Materials And Methods: This study was based on a systematic computer-assisted database that allowed the recording of data for all primary oral mucosal melanomas treated in the involved surgical units across Europe between January 1, 2003 and December 31, 2022. The following data were recorded for each patient: gender, age, site, TNM staging, metastases, symptoms, imaging features, histopathological features, treatment, complications, recurrence, follow up, and survival.

Background: Mounting evidence exhibits circRNAs as critical regulators in the progression of many tumors. The regulatory function and potential mechanism by which circ_0008126 in gastric cancer (GC) is unknown.

Methods: To validate and analyze the expression levels and clinical values of circ_0008126 in GC patients, the biological phenotypes of circ_0008126 in GC were investigated in vitro and in vivo.

Predicting the behavior of clear cell renal cell carcinoma (ccRCC) is challenging using standard-of-care histopathologic examination. Indeed, pathologic RCC tumor grading, based on nuclear morphology, performs poorly in predicting outcomes of patients with International Society of Urological Pathology/World Health Organization grade 2 and 3 tumors, which account for most ccRCCs. We applied spatial point process modeling of H&E-stained images of patients with grade 2 and grade 3 ccRCCs ( = 72) to find optimum separation into two groups.

Background: thymic basaloid carcinoma (BTC) is an extremely rare tumor, and very little data are available on BTC's biology, clinical behavior, drug sensitivity, and patient outcomes.

Methods: We performed a retrospective observational study on patients diagnosed with BTC in 11 referral centers of TYME. All BTC diagnoses were reviewed by the referring pathologist.
