The measurement of different quality properties requires particular tools and chemical materials, most of which are time-using. The present research was accomplished to survey the possibility of using NIRS (870-2450 nm) to predict the amylose content (AC), protein content (PC), breakdown (BDV), and setback viscosity (SBV) of white rice ( variety) and its flour. Determination coefficients of calibration models to flour samples of AC, PC, BDV, and SBV generated by the partial least-squares (PLS) regression were obtained as ≥ .85 and ≥ .80. Root mean square error of calibration (RMSEC) was calculated as 0.393, 0.07, 2.55, and 1.33, respectively. Similarly to grain samples, were obtained as ≥ .88 and ≥ .71 for calibration and prediction. RMSEC was measured as 0.303, 0.27, 2.59, and 3.11, respectively. NIRS has the potential to be used as a quick technique for predicting the quality attributes of kernel specimens.

Phthalocyanine derivative nanostructures are highly organized organometallic structures that exhibit two-dimensional polymeric phthalocyanine frameworks. We analyze phthalocyanine using the Zagreb-type indices, which offer important insights into the topological characteristics of the molecular structure. Furthermore, we use Pearson correlation analysis to examine the degree of relationship between various structural features and qualities.

Collapsible loess soils, known for their significant volume reduction upon the wetting, pose critical challenges in the geotechnical engineering. The estimation of the wetting-induced settlement is crucial for the foundation design and the determination of the negative skin friction on the pile. In this paper, a new method is proposed to estimate the wetting induced collapse from the wetting soil-water characteristic curve (SWCC) and the index properties of the loess soils.

Chronic pain and restricted mobility, hallmark features of rheumatic diseases, substantially affect patients' quality of life, often resulting in physical disability and emotional distress. Given the long-term nature of these conditions, there is a growing interest in complementary therapeutic approaches, emphasizing the need to explore non-pharmacological treatments. Hydrotherapy, balneotherapy, and mud therapy have emerged as effective interventions to alleviate pain, reduce inflammation, improve joint mobility, and enhance overall physical and mental well-being.

The welding of titanium alloys is an important topic in today's industrial field, and the interaction between the solder and the base material is crucial for the quality of the welded parts. The structural, elastic, electronic, and thermal properties of Ti-Al-Me (Me = Cu, Fe and Ni) alloys (TAMs) with the face-centered cubic structures were investigated using plane-wave pseudo potential method in the framework of density functional theory. Based on the calculated elastic constants combined with empirical and semi-empirical formulas, physical properties including ductility/brittleness, hardness and anisotropy were calculated.

Polarization-sensitive optical coherence tomography (PS-OCT) measures the polarization state of backscattered light from tissues and provides valuable insights into the birefringence properties of biological tissues. Contrastive unpaired translation (CUT) was used in this study to generate a synthetic PS-OCT image from a single OCT image. The challenges related to extensive data requirements relying on labeled datasets using only pixel-wise correlations that make it difficult to efficiently regenerate the periodic patterns observed in PS-OCT images were addressed.
