A covalent organic framework (COF) has emerged as a promising photocatalyst for the removal of pharmaceutical and personal care product (PPCP) contaminants; however, high-performance COF photocatalysts are still scarce. In this study, three COF photocatalysts were successfully synthesized by the condensation of benzo[1,2-b:3,4-b':5,6-b'']trithiophene-2,5,8-tricarbaldehyde (BTT) with 4,4',4''-(1,3,5-triazine-2,4,6-triyl)trianiline (TAPT), 1,3,5-Tris(4-aminophenyl)benzene (TAPB), and 4,4',4''-nitrilotris(benzenamine) (TAPA), namely, BTT-TAPA, BTT-TAPB, and BTT-TAPT, respectively. The surface areas of BTT-TAPA, BTT-TAPB, and BTT-TAPT were found to be 800.

To reveal the microstructural evolution and stress-strain distribution of 780 MPa-grade ferrite/martensite dual-phase steel during a uniaxial tensile deformation process, the plastic deformation behavior under uniaxial tension was studied using in situ EBSD and crystal plastic finite element method (CPFEM). The results showed that the geometrically necessary dislocations (GND) in ferrite accumulated continuously, which is conducive to the formation of grain boundaries, but the texture distribution did not change significantly. The average misorientation angle decreased and the proportion of low-angle grain boundaries increased with the increase of strain.

Environmental protection issues have received widespread attention, making material recycling increasingly important. The upcycling of polysulfone (PSF) medical waste, recognized as a high-performance plastic with excellent mechanical properties, deserves promotion. While PSF is suitable for use as an orthopedic implant material, such as internal fixation, its osteogenesis capabilities must be enhanced.

Polymers of intrinsic microporosity (PIMs) have received considerable attention for making high-performance membranes for carbon dioxide separation over the last two decades, owing to their highly permeable porous structures. However, challenges regarding its relatively low selectivity, physical aging, and plasticisation impede relevant industrial adoptions for gas separation. To address these issues, several strategies including chain modification, post-modification, blending with other polymers, and the addition of fillers, have been developed and explored.

Manufacturing water-stable carboxymethyl cellulose (CMC) films as an alternative to commercial plastics is a promising solution to address plastic pollution. In this study, waste walnut shell (WS) was used as a natural lignocellulosic filler, glycerol as a plasticizer, and citric acid (CA) as a crosslinking agent for preparing high-performance CMC-based bioplastics through a one-pot casting method. When WS content was 12 wt%, the obtained CWGA-12 after optimization exhibited excellent mechanical properties (tensile strength ≈18.
