Ultra-high field MRI with parallel transmission (pTx) provides a powerful neuroimaging tool with potential application in paediatrics. The use of pTx, however, necessitates a dedicated local specific absorption rate (SAR) management strategy, able to predict and monitor the peak local SAR (pSAR). In this work, we address the pSARassessment for an in-house built 7 Tesla 16Tx32Rx pediatric head coil, using the concept of Virtual Observation Points (VOPs) for SAR estimation.

These treatments range from laser resurfacing and radiofrequency procedures to chemical peels and microneedling. The concept of integrated skincare is based on the application of adjunct therapies before, during, or after cosmetic medical procedures to promote healing, minimize discomfort, shorten down-time, and enhance overall aesthetic outcomes.

Innovative therapies for hypertension are desperately needed given the rising prevalence and falling rates of control of hypertension despite an abundance of available medical therapies. Procedural interventions lower blood pressure without depending on adherence to medications, and endovascular renal denervation (RDN) is the interventional procedure with the best evidence base for the treatment of hypertension. After nearly two decades of study, with major refinements to devices, technique and trial design, two different systems for RDN received approval from the FDA in late 2023 for the treatment of hypertension.

A steadily increasing number of publications support the concept of physiological networks, and how cellular bioelectrical properties drive cell proliferation and cell synchronization. All cells, especially cancer cells, are known to possess characteristic electrical properties critical for physiological behavior, with major differences between normal and cancer cell counterparts. This opportunity can be explored as a novel treatment modality in Oncology.

MRI of patients with Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS) implants is constrained due to radiofrequency (RF) heating of the implant lead. However, "RF-shimming" parallel transmission (PTX) has the potential to reduce DBS heating during MRI. As part of using PTX in such a "safe mode", maps of the RF transmission field (B1+) are typically acquired for calibration purposes, with each transmit coil excited individually.
