Breast cancer is the second leading cause of cancer-related mortality among women worldwide, with its progression closely tied to the tumor microenvironment. To address the limitations and adverse effects of conventional therapies, algal polysaccharides and their nanoparticle derivatives have emerged as promising and effective anti-breast cancer agents. These bioactive compounds, derived from algae, are distinguished by their natural origin, non-toxicity, and significant medical relevance.

Objective: To evaluate the impact of the different types of neoplasms and lineages on Sjögren syndrome (SjS) patient mortality.
Methods: Medical records review study based on the Spanish Hospital Discharge Database and the International Classification of Diseases, Tenth Revision, Clinical Modification coding list. The neoplasm-related deaths in SjS patients with the general population during the period 2016-2019 were compared.
Rosuvastatin, a commonly prescribed lipid-lowering medication for primary and secondary prevention of cardiovascular disease, is generally considered safe with associated mortality benefits. Despite its overall safety profile, the drug is not without side effects. Statin-induced myopathy, a known complication, can manifest in 10-25% of cases, while more uncommon complications such as rhabdomyolysis occur in less than 0.
