Purpose: To obtain detailed information in breast ductal carcinoma in situ (DCIS) and invasive ductal carcinoma (IDC) using triexponential diffusion analysis.
Methods: Diffusion-weighted images (DWI) of the breast were obtained using single-shot diffusion echo-planar imaging with 15 b-values. Mean signal intensities at each b-value were measured in the DCIS and IDC lesions and fitted with the triexponential function based on a two-step approach: slow-restricted diffusion coefficient (D) was initially determined using a monoexponential function with b-values > 800 s/mm. The diffusion coefficient of free water at 37°C was assigned to the fast-free diffusion coefficient (D). Finally, the perfusion-related diffusion coefficient (D) was derived using all the b-values. Furthermore, biexponential analysis was performed to obtain the perfusion-related diffusion coefficient (D*) and the perfusion-independent diffusion coefficient (D). Monoexponential analysis was performed to obtain the apparent diffusion coefficient (ADC). The sensitivity and specificity of the aforementioned diffusion coefficients for distinguishing between DCIS and IDC were evaluated using the pathological results.
Results: The D, D, and ADC of DCIS were significantly higher than those of IDC (P < 0.01 for all). There was no significant correlation between D and D, but there was a weak correlation between D* and D. The combination of D and D showed higher sensitivity and specificity (85.9% and 71.4%, respectively), compared to the combination of D* and D (81.5% and 33.3%, respectively).
Conclusion: Triexponential analysis can provide detailed diffusion information for breast tumors that can be used to differentiate between DCIS and IDC.

Objectives: This study aimed to compare apparent diffusion coefficient (ADC) values derived from diffusion-weighted imaging (DWI) of different Borrmann types of advanced gastric cancer (AGC) and correlate these ADC values with Ki-67 expression and serum CEA levels in AGC.
Methods: A total of 84 patients with AGC who underwent DWI of the upper abdomen before tumor resection in our hospital between June 2014 and July 2018 were included in the present study. DWI was obtained with a single-shot echo planar imaging sequence in the axial plane (b values: 0, 100, 700 and 1000 s/mm).

Prussian blue analogues (PBAs) show great promise as cathode candidates for aqueous zinc-ion batteries thanks to their high operating voltage, open-framework structure, and low cost. However, suffering from numerous vacancies and crystal water, the electrochemical performance of PBAs remains unsatisfactory, with limited capacity and poor cycle life. Here, a simple coprecipitation method is shown to synthesize well-crystallized cobalt hexacyanoferrate (CoHCF) with a small amount of water and high specific surface area.

We report the values of the collision integrals, needed for the calculation of the macroscopic transport properties such as viscosity (η) and diffusion coefficient (D) of gases within the Chapman-Enskog kinetic gas theory, for a generalized Lennard-Jones potential (gLJ), a more general potential with an adjustable long range 1/r dependence that can describe a wide range of intermolecular interactions.

In the past decade, significant efforts have been made to develop efficient half-Heusler (HH) based thermoelectric (TE) materials. However, their practical applications remain limited due to various challenges occurring during the fabrication of TE devices, particularly the development of stable contacts with low interfacial resistance. In this study, we have made an effort to explore a stable contact material with low interfacial resistance for an n-type TiCoSb-based TE material, specifically TiNbCoSbBi as a proof of concept, using a straightforward facile synthesis route of spark plasma sintering.

Rationale And Objectives: Isocitrate dehydrogenase (IDH) status, glioma subtypes and tumor proliferation are important for glioma evaluation. We comprehensively compare the diagnostic performance of amide proton transfer-weighted (APTw) MRI and its related metrics in glioma diagnosis, in the context of the latest classification.
Materials And Methods: Totally 110 patients with adult-type diffuse gliomas underwent APTw imaging.
