The use of acellular dermal allograft in arthroscopic superior capsular reconstruction is a promising treatment option for massive irreparable rotator cuff tears. However, indications are limited to a subset of patients, so it is not routinely performed. Therefore, the surgery is technically demanding, although it has evolved in recent years.
