By means of parathyroid hormone they respond to any changes in the serum level of calcium and phosphorus ions and determine the integrity of skeleton, affecting almost all systems and cells where calcium and phosphorus are involved in metabolism and/or signaling.Disorders of parathyroid function are associated with significant complications accompanying secondary hyperparathyroidism.

This study investigated the translation of various OREF grants into successful extramural federal funding discerning the clinician demographics and OREF award characteristics associated with increased chances of securing federal grants.

Enhanced recovery after surgery (ERAS) protocols have informed perioperative care across multiple surgical specialties, optimizing patient outcomes through surgical stress management and accelerated recovery. This study evaluates the familiarity and adoption of ERAS elements among craniofacial and oral and maxillofacial surgeons in pediatric orthognathic surgery, a field where a formal ERAS protocol has not been established. A closed-ended survey of 102 surgeons was conducted to assess familiarity with and utilization of 14 ERAS elements.
