Mucosa-associated lymphoid tissue (MALT) lymphoma is generally associated with chronic antigen stimulation: auto-antigens or of microbial origin. Only one study suggested association between Achromobacter xylosoxidans and pulmonary MALT lymphoma. We aimed to investigate the presence of virus or any infectious agents in pulmonary MALT lymphoma by using metagenomic next-generation sequencing (mNGS).All lung samples were centrally reviewed. The t(11;18) (q21;q21) was evaluated by FISH analysis. The snap frozen large lung biopsies were analyzed by mNGS. After lung biopsies homogenization total nucleic acids (RNA and DNA) were extracted, amplified and classified according to their taxonomic assignment, after exclusion of host DNA.We included 13 samples from pulmonary MALT lymphoma (mean age: 60.3 years, 7 women, 3 with auto-immune background) and 10 controls. The diagnosis of MALT lymphoma was confirmed for the 13 samples, 3 showed API2-MALT1 translocation (23%). No evidence of the presence of a specific pathogen was clearly identified in the group of patients with pulmonary MALT lymphoma. We identifiedA. xylosoxidans sequence in 4/13 patients and in 4/10 controls. This study did not find evidence for a DNA or RNA virus, a fungi, a parasite or a bacteria associated with pulmonary MALT lymphoma either in the stroma or in tumor cells.

Only 10% of new lymphoma diagnoses in the USA occur in children < 15 years. Although the same diagnostic criteria apply to both adult and pediatric lymphomas, there are important differences in some lymphoma subtypes. These differences are recognized by the World Health Organization (WHO) with the recent 2022 classification of pediatric tumors including pediatric hematopoietic tumors.

There has been remarkable progress over the past 80 years since Jan Waldenstrom first described patients with a hyperviscosity syndrome related to IgM paraprotein in 1944. The definition of Waldenstrom macroglobulinemia (WM) has evolved from a clinical syndrome to a distinct clinicopathologic entity with characteristic morphology, immunophenotype and molecular features. The landmark discovery of MYD88 mutation among most WM cases in 2012 marked the dawning of an era of molecular genomic exploration that led to a paradigm shift in clinical practice.

Background: CD20-targeted therapies are widely used in the management of B-cell lymphomas. Re-treatment with CD20-directed agents is common; however, previous research has demonstrated loss of CD20 expression at relapse in a subset of patients.
Methods: In this single-center retrospective cohort of 243 patients, CD20 analysis was performed by immunohistochemistry (IHC) and/or flow cytometry at diagnosis and at relapse if a biopsy was performed.

Background: Amulirafusp alfa (IMM0306) is a fusion protein of CD47 binding domain of signal-regulatory protein alpha (SIRPα) with CD20 monoclonal antibody on both heavy chains. This study aimed to evaluate the safety and preliminary efficacy of amulirafusp alfa in relapsed or refractory (r/r) B-cell non-Hodgkin lymphoma (B-NHL).
Methods: We enrolled patients with CD20 + r/r B-NHL who had previously received at least two lines of therapy to receive a single-dose of amulirafusp alfa in the first 2 weeks, followed by a multiple-dose period, in which the patients received the same intravenous dose every week in 4-week cycles.

Although rearrangement of the MYC oncogene (MYC-R) is frequently observed in aggressive B-cell lymphomas, it is extremely rare in T-cell malignancies. A 64-year-old man who had been under observation for several years because of asymptomatic pulmonary extranodal marginal zone lymphoma of mucosa-associated lymphoid tissue (MALToma) was admitted to our hospital because of poor general condition and hypotension. Blood tests revealed thrombocytopenia and elevated serum lactate dehydrogenase levels, whereas computed tomography revealed systemic lymphadenopathy and splenomegaly.
