Single-Line Multi-Channel Flexible Stress Sensor Arrays.

Micromachines (Basel)

August 2023

Department of Materials Science and Engineering, National University of Singapore, Singapore 117583, Singapore.

Flexible stress sensor arrays, comprising multiple flexible stress sensor units, enable accurate quantification and analysis of spatial stress distribution. Nevertheless, the current implementation of flexible stress sensor arrays faces the challenge of excessive signal wires, resulting in reduced deformability, stability, reliability, and increased costs. The primary obstacle lies in the electric amplitude modulation nature of the sensor unit's signal (e.

A Calibration Method for the Resolution of 2D TPP Laser Direct Writing.

Micromachines (Basel)

January 2023

School of Mechanical Engineering and Automation, Fuzhou University, Fuzhou 350108, China.

To improve the fabrication efficiency of the two-photon polymerization (TPP) laser direct writing, the TPP exposure process was set to complete by a single-line scan, which was named 2D TPP. The voxel of the 2D TPP should be large enough to cross the photoresist and the underlayer. To explore the resolution limit of the 2D TPP considering the thickness of the photoresist, a new method named the 45° scanning method was proposed.

Increased frame rate is of high importance to cardiac diagnostic imaging as it enables examination of fast events during the cardiac cycle and improved quantitative analysis, such as speckle tracking. Multi-line transmission (MLT) is one of the methods proposed for this purpose. Quantum Transport in Gated Dangling-Bond Atomic Wires.

Nano Lett

January 2017

Center for the Physics of Materials and Department of Physics, McGill University, Montreal, Quebec H3A 2T8, Canada.

A single line of dangling bonds (DBs) on Si(100)-2 × 1:H surface forms a perfect metallic atomic-wire. In this work, we investigate quantum transport properties of such dangling bond wires (DBWs) by a state-of-the-art first-principles technique. It is found that the conductance of the DBW can be gated by electrostatic potential and orbital overlap due to only a single DB center (DBC) within a distance of ∼16 Å from the DBW.
