Peritonitis is a well-known complication seen with peritoneal dialysis. Peritonitis is associated with increased mortality risk and is commonly caused by gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria, but it can also be the result of fungal or viral infections. Therefore, it is imperative to obtain a peritoneal fluid sample to send for cell count with differential, gram stain, and culture prior to starting empiric antibiotic therapy. We report a case of peritoneal dialysis-related peritonitis caused by for which there has only been one other reported case in the medical literature. Our patient was initially placed on vancomycin and cefepime but continued to deteriorate until peritoneal fluid cultures revealed Based on sensitivities, the patient was treated with daptomycin and cefazolin, which resolved her peritonitis.

Peritoneal tuberculosis (TB) is a rare extrapulmonary form of TB that often mimics ovarian malignancy, posing diagnostic challenges. This report presents a 16-year-old Jordanian female with abdominal distension, weakness, anorexia, and night sweats. Initial imaging, including contrast-enhanced computed tomography (CT), revealed compartmentalized ascites, peritoneal thickening, and enlarged ovaries with masses, suggesting possible ovarian malignancy.

Due to continuous fluid removal in peritoneal dialysis (PD) and intermittent ultrafiltration in hemodialysis (HD), symptom-based assessments may be biased, leading to varying results. Surprisingly, no direct comparison of dry weight changes between PD and HD has been conducted.

Objective: To investigate the disposition of enrofloxacin and its active metabolite, ciprofloxacin, in plasma, pulmonary epithelial lining fluid (PELF), peritoneal fluid, and CSF in horses following IV administration of enrofloxacin at doses of 5 mg/kg and 7.5 mg/kg of body weight.
Methods: 6 healthy, mature mares were randomly assigned to receive a single dose of enrofloxacin at either 5 mg/kg or 7.

Introduction: Neglected Uterine rupture in an unscarred uterus is a rare but remains the most serious and fearsome complication in obstetrics, with high maternal and fetal risks, a neglected uterine rupture is rarer but more serious affecting the maternal prognosis with a high rate of hysterectomy.
Case Presentation: A 36-year-old patient, presented on postpartum day 4 a pelvic pain, physical examination finds patient in shock, Ultrasound showed an enlarged uterus with a discontinuity on the right lateral edge and abundant peritoneal fluid reaching Morison's pouch. The patient underwent a necessary total interadnexal hysterectomy due to the presence of a partial uterine necrosis.

Endometriosis is a chronic gynecological disease that affects 1 in 10 reproductive-aged women. Most studies investigate established disease; however, the initiation and early events in endometriotic lesion development remain poorly understood. Our study used neutrophils from human menstrual effluent from subjects with and without endometriosis for immunophenotyping, and a mouse model of endometriosis and a mouse endometriosis cell line to determine the role of neutrophils in the initiating events of endometriosis, including attachment and survival of minced endometrial pieces.
