Using density functional theory, the effects of P, Al, and Ga atoms doping on electronic structure of boraphene (B) were investigated. The results show the highest change in electronic structure of doped-B systems belongs to Al-B structures wherein the gap energy of the system is decreased by 17.92%. DOS diagrams and absorption spectra of doped B are compared to pristine and discussed. The capability of pristine and modified B in the field of detection/adsorption of HF molecule has been evaluated. The calculated values of adsorption energies of 0.13, 0.63, 0.24, and 0.16 eV for adsorption of HF on pristine, Al-, Ga-, and P-B and related DOS diagrams reveal that these systems are not superior host materials for detection/adsorption applications. It was found that the external electric field could increase the interaction between HF and B systems leading to suggesting Al-B as proper candidate for HF removal applications.

Purpose Of Review: Management of primary headache disorders during pregnancy is limited due to known teratogenicity or unknown safety of many currently available pharmaceutical therapies. Here, we explore the safety and efficacy of non-invasive neuromodulatory devices as another treatment modality for pregnant patients.
Recent Findings: There are six FDA-cleared, non-invasive neuromodulatory devices currently available for the management of headache that include remote electrical neuromodulation (REN), noninvasive vagal nerve stimulation (nVNS), external trigeminal nerve stimulation (eTNS), single-pulse transcranial magnetic stimulation (sTMS), and external concurrent occipital and trigeminal neurostimulation (eCOT-NS).

Context: This article mainly studies three isomers of CHNO, namely 5-methyl-3,4-dinitro-1- (trinitromethyl) -1H pyrazole (1), 4-methyl-3,5-dinitro-1- (trinitromethyl) -1H pyrazole (2), and 3,5-bis (dinitromethyl) -4-nitro-1H-pyrazole (3). These three substances are excellent candidates for energetic materials, but their properties under external electric fields (EEF) have not been studied. Therefore, this article studied the properties of three isomers under EEF using density functional theory (DFT), and conducted statistical analysis on the obtained data, including the molecular structure, frontier molecular orbitals, surface electrostatic potential, and nitrate charge of the three isomers.

Background: Electrotherapy has been investigated in chronic pain and diabetic peripheral neuropathy, however prospective trials in patients with chemotherapy-induced peripheral neuropathy (CIPN) are scarce.
Methods: Fifty-one patients with CIPN ≥ grade 1 subsequent to receiving platinum- and/or taxane-based chemotherapy types were randomized to 8 weeks of high tone external muscle stimulation (HTEMS) or transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation (TENS). The primary outcome were changes in the EORTC-QLQ-CIPN20 questionnaire.
