. Early diagnosis of calcified atheromas may decrease morbidity and mortality caused by brain and cardiovascular diseases, in which atherosclerosis is the main etiological factor of these pathologies. Dental examinations with the aim of detecting this pathology have been in progress since 1981, such as panoramic radiography, considered the most widely studied method for this diagnosis. However, some limitations of this exam have been reported with reference to inability to visualize the cervical region and difficulty of establishing a precise diagnosis because of many structures and calcifications that have similar radiographic characteristics. . The present study to describe a dental radiographic technique for establishing the differential diagnosis of calcified atheromas regarding other calcifications and reporting 3 clinical cases that demonstrate its effectiveness in different clinical situations. . Manzi Projection can promote a differential diagnosis of calcified atheromas in dental practice and consequently subsidize the clinician for referring the patient to the physician.

Introduction: Mucinous Cystadenocarcinoma (MCA) of the breast remains a relatively rare condition, and to date, there is no systematic summary of its imaging manifestations. Therefore, this report presents a detailed account of the diagnosis and treatment of mucinous cystadenocarcinoma in a 40-year-old woman, with a particular focus on imaging findings. Additionally, we conducted a comprehensive literature review on this disease and summarized its key imaging features.

Fluorine is a strong oxidizing element and excessive intake can have harmful effects, particularly on the body's calcified tissues. Recent studies have demonstrated a link between miRNA and fluorosis. This study aimed to evaluate the time-dose-effect relationship of miR-200c-3p in plasma, urine and cartilage of rats with drinking water fluorosis, and to explore its potential as a biomarker.

Background: Preliminary research indicates that higher iron levels are associated with worse outcomes in patients with coronary artery disease.
Aims: The study aimed to investigate the relationship between iron levels and the type and composition of coronary plaques.
Methods: In patients with ≥1 coronary stenosis ≥50% on computed tomography angiography, iron levels, presence of high-risk plaque features, such as low-attenuation plaque (LAP), napkin-ring sign, positive remodeling, and spotty calcium, as well as type and plaque composition (calcified/fibrous/fibro-fatty/necrotic core) were evaluated.
