Purpose: To assess the activity and toxicity of hepatic arterial infusion chemotherapy (HAIC)+tislelizumab+lenvatinib (HAIC+tisle+len) in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) with portal vein tumor thrombus (PVTT) type IV (Vp4 hCC) in a real-world context.

Methods: Fifty-five patients, with Vp4 hCC receiving HAIC+tisle+len therapy from April 2021 to December 2022, were analyzed retrospectively. Data on patient characteristics, adverse events (AEs), treatment, and survival were collected.

Background: Liver cirrhosis complicated by portal vein thrombosis (PVT) is a fatal complication with no specific manifestations but often misdiagnosed, it crucially increases the mortality worldwide. This study aimed to identify risk factors and establish a predictive model for diagnosis of venous thrombosis clinical by routine blood tests and endoscopic characteristics.

Methods: Patients from Gansu Provincial Hospital from October 2019 to December 2023 were enrolled.

Background: The effectiveness and preferred reconstruction methods of pancreatectomy associated with vein resection (PAVR) for pancreatic cancer, especially for the extensive portal vein/superior mesenteric vein (PV/SMV) resections (more than 4 cm), are still subjects of debate. The aim of this study is to evaluate the safety and feasibility of PAVR by analyzing data from two large institutions from different regions.

Methods: From 2008 to 2018, we identified consecutive series of patients with pancreatic cancer who underwent PAVR at Karolinska University Hospital (KUH), Sweden, and Cancer Institute Hospital, Japanese Foundation of Cancer Research (JFCR), Japan.

Goals: To explore dynamic contrast-enhanced ultrasound (CEUS) parameters in predicting hepatic vein pressure gradient (HVPG) for patients with liver cirrhosis (LC).

Background: Noninvasive diagnosis of HVPG remains a challenge.

Study: This prospective study included patients with LC undergoing hepatic vein catheterization and pressure measurement at the hospital from May 2021 to January 2023.

Myeloproliferative neoplasms (MPNs) are clonal hematopoietic stem cell disorders commonly characterized by excessive production of blood cell lineages. The JAK2 V617F mutation plays a crucial role in the pathogenesis of these conditions, often leading to thrombotic complications. Here, we present the case of a 21-year-old man who presented with acute abdominal pain and was found to have portal vein thrombosis with splenomegaly.
