Background: Poorly controlled acute breast surgery postoperative pain is associated with delayed recovery, increased morbidity, impaired quality of life, and prolonged opioid use during and after hospitalization. Recently, ultrasound-guided pectoralis nerve (PECS) I block and serratus anterior plane (SAP) block, together or individually, have emerged as a potential method to relieve pain, decrease opioid requirements, and improve patient outcomes.

Objective: The aim of this study was to assess if the addition of a PECS I/SAP block in patients undergoing bilateral mastectomies provides more effective perioperative analgesia compared to standard analgesia.

Women's health conditions are influenced by both genetic and environmental factors. Understanding these factors individually and their interactions is crucial for implementing preventative, personalized medicine. However, since genetics and environmental exposures, particularly social determinants of health (SDoH), are correlated with race and ancestry, risk models without careful consideration of these measures can exacerbate health disparities.

Background: Injection of autologous adipose-derived regenerative cells (ADRCs) combined with lipotransfer has been suggested to alleviate symptoms in diseases including breast cancer-related lymphedema (BCRL). We recently performed a randomized controlled trial injecting lipoaspirate with ADRCs into the axilla of BCRL patients, and here we aimed in the intervention group to define in an unbiased fashion whether ADRC injection was linked to the clinical outcome.

Methods: 39 BCRL patients received lipotransfer assisted with autologous ADRCs (4.

Article Synopsis
  • The study created and validated a nomogram to predict the risk of non-infectious fever (NIF) in patients after laparoscopic myomectomy using data from 576 patients.
  • It identified important risk factors for NIF, including the size and number of leiomyomas, preoperative hemoglobin levels, operative time, and estimated blood loss.
  • The nomogram proved accurate and can help doctors identify high-risk patients early, enabling better preventive care and management strategies.

Mammary myofibroblastoma (MM) is an uncommon, benign mesenchymal neoplasm with a favourable prognosis. Its resemblance to various other benign and malignant lesions of the breast makes precise diagnosis challenging when examining biopsy samples. The rarity of mammary myofibroblastoma in India and worldwide underscores the importance of our case report, as we aim to contribute to the existing literature and expand the knowledge base of this neoplasm.
