Objective: Time-processing disorders in adults is a priority area for intervention. Time management program, which has been demonstrated to be effective in children with ADHD, has not been examined in adults. We anticipate the need for the development of specialized programs for adults. This is because it has been reported that time processing disorders have different patterns in childhood and adulthood. This study aimed to evaluate the therapeutic effect of a gCBT program focusing on time management for adults with ADHD.
Method: Adults with ADHD were randomly assigned to gCBT ( = 24) or a treatment as usual group ( = 24). Outcome measures were masked clinically rated, self-reported, and family-reported ADHD symptoms.
Results: The gCBT group significantly reduced ADHD symptoms on all measures.
Conclusion: Interventions focused on time management have been shown to be effective not only in children with ADHD but also in adult patients.

Purpose Of Review: To review the evidence that supports the implementation of goal-directed care bundle protocols to improve outcomes from neurocritical conditions, and of the possible advantage of specific over generalized protocols.
Recent Findings: Articles from January 1, 2023 to July 31, 2024 were searched to evaluate the effectiveness of standardized management in neurological emergencies. The use of care bundles and standardized protocols with time- and target-related metrics has shown benefit in patients with acute stroke and traumatic brain injury.

As a commonly employed method for analyzing time-to-event data involving functional predictors, the functional Cox model assumes a linear relationship between the functional principal component (FPC) scores of the functional predictors and the hazard rates. However, in practical scenarios, such as our study on the survival time of kidney transplant recipients, this assumption often fails to hold. To address this limitation, we introduce a class of high-dimensional partially linear functional Cox models, which accommodates the non-linear effects of functional predictors on the response and allows for diverging numbers of scalar predictors and FPCs as the sample size increases.

Optimizing operating room (OR) utilization is critical for enhancing hospital management and operational efficiency. Accurate surgical case duration predictions are essential for achieving this optimization. Our study aimed to refine the accuracy of these predictions beyond traditional estimation methods by developing Random Forest models tailored to specific surgical departments.

PURPOSE OF REVIEW: Narrative review of the author's main contributions to the field of cardiovascular health spanning four decades, with a focus on findings related to 1- the pathophysiology of obesity, insulin resistance, type 2 diabetes and cardiovascular disease, and 2- the management/prevention of these conditions. Particular attention is given to the importance of regular physical activity. RECENT FINDINGS: Because behaviors and their physiological consequences are still not measured in clinical practice, it is proposed to systematically assess and target "lifestyle vital signs" (waist circumference, cardiorespiratory fitness, food-based diet quality and level of leisure-time physical activity) in primary care.

Objectives: This study aimed to identify factors predicting postoperative ICU admission, the need for orotracheal intubation (OTI), and the occurrence of supraglottic stenosis in children undergoing supraglottoplasty for laryngomalacia.
Methods: A retrospective analysis was conducted on 31 children (Dear Reviewer, we would have greatly preferred to include a larger sample size. However, as you know, this type of management is rare, and we deliberately selected a 7-year period to ensure a minimum of 30 children while avoiding significant differences in management guidelines over time.
