A 74-year-old woman presented with abdominal discomfort and was diagnosed with an unresectable advanced gastric cancer(T4aN3aM1, stage Ⅳ)based on a thorough examination. S-1/cisplatin therapy was administered as first-line treatment and paclitaxel/ramucirumab therapy as the second-line treatment. However, because the patient developed a peritoneal dissemination and her lymph node metastasis increased despite these regimens, nivolumab was introduced as a third- line treatment. The CT scan revealed that after the 5 courses of nivolumab, both the peritoneal dissemination and metastatic lymph nodes shrunk; after 12 courses of nivolumab, the peritoneal dissemination almost disappeared. Although nivolumab, an anti-programmed cell death-1(PD-1)antibody, has the possibility to cause immune-related adverse events not seen with conventional chemotherapy, in the present case, these events did not occur and the antitumor effects were maintained for a relatively long period without a decrease in the performance status(PS). We experienced a case of peritoneal metastasis from gastric cancer with a good response to nivolumab. Herein, this case is reported with some literature review.

Endosalpingiosis occurs in relatively young women. The incidence of endosalpingiosis exceeds that of other diseases affecting female tissues. As endosalpingiosis is a benign tumor, several women with endosalpingiosis are asymptomatic.

Uterine smooth muscle neoplasms are a biologically and clinically heterogeneous group of tumors. Morphology is the cornerstone of pathologic diagnosis of these tumors, and most are readily classified as benign or malignant on the basis of routine histologic examination. However, rare subsets-including intravenous leiomyomatosis, benign metastasizing leiomyoma, and disseminated peritoneal leiomyomatosis-have a capacity for extrauterine spread despite benign cytomorphology.

Background: Patients with high-grade serous carcinoma (HGSC) are commonly diagnosed at late disease stages and after primary tumors have disseminated in the peritoneum. The overexpression of tight junction proteins has been associated with poor prognosis in this setting, potentially reflecting the tumor´s adaptive changes in the disease cascade.

Methods: By performing immunohistochemistry in a large single-center cohort of a total of 705 HGSC, we test the hypothesis that the protein expression of PReferentially expressed Antigen of MElanoma (PRAME) contains prognostic, predictive or clinically translatable information.

Background: Peritoneal dissemination of ovarian cancer (OvCa) can be largely attributed to the formation of a metastatic microenvironment driven by tumoral exosomes. Here, we aimed to elucidate the mechanisms through which exosomal annexin A2 (ANXA2) derived from OvCa cells induces an HPMC phenotypic shift in favour of peritoneal metastasis.

Methods: Immunohistochemistry and orthotopic and intraperitoneal OvCa xenograft mouse models were used to clarify the relationship between tumour ANXA2 expression and peritoneal metastasis.
