Objective: We investigate the prevalence of five affective temperaments (depressive, cyclothymic, hyperthymic, irritable, and anxious) in a large sample of cancer patients and associations of temperament with cancer site as well as the impact of temperament on overall survival of cancer patients.
Methods: Data for this prospective cohort study was collected in the outpatient clinic of a large cancer center. We used the Temperament Evaluation in Memphis, Pisa and San Diego - Münster Version (TEMPS-M) and recorded patient data.

Breast cancer is the most commonly diagnosed cancer in women, worldwide. With the increasing burden of breast cancer, the search for more tolerable and sustainable treatments is required, to result in broader access to cancer treatments. Metronomic chemotherapy defines the use of chemotherapy agents based on low-dose, continuous regimens, as opposed to traditional treatments administered for limited intervals, at higher dose.

The purpose of this study was to develop and validate a new measurement tool designed to capture endorsement of myths surrounding female perpetrated sexual violence against men, specifically in 'forced-to-penetrate' cases. Data were collected among a sample of 4152 UK adults aged 18-55+ (52% female). Dimensionality and construct validity of the Forced-to-Penetrate Myth Acceptance Scale (FTP-MAS) was investigated using traditional Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) techniques separately for the complete sample, males only, and females only.

The Pierre Robin Sequence is a rare craniofacial malformation that invariably combines retrognathism, glossoptosis, and upper airway obstruction, with a prevalence ranging from 1 in 8000 to 1 in 14,000 newborns. Although formally described by the French physician Pierre Robin in 1923, older and even ancient as far back as the Babylonian times, descriptions have been identified. Dr Pierre Robin's perspicacity lay in putting up a treatment for the patients presenting those symptoms.
