The aim of the present study was to see how widespread preventative use of the probiotic via automatic protocol in hospitalised patients receiving antibacterials affected rates of hospital-associated () infection (HA-CDI). Rates of HA-CDI appeared to be similar between the pre-protocol and protocol periods. Use of CDI treatment antibiotics (oral metronidazole and oral vancomycin) was also similar. Laboratory-confirmed isolation of from sterile body sites was identified in five patients during the protocol versus only one case in the pre-protocol years.

Feeding frequency is crucial for the growth and development of white shrimp () at various life stages. Although higher feeding frequencies can enhance growth, manual feeding methods significantly increase labor costs. Automatic feeding systems offer a cost-effective and efficient alternative, yet their application in intensive shrimp culture remains under-researched.

Background And Objectives: Retrospective studies examining errors within a surgical scheduling setting do not fully represent the effects of human error involved in transcribing critical patient health information (PHI). These errors can negatively impact patient care and reduce workplace efficiency due to insurance claim denials and potential sentinel events. Previous reports underscore the burden physicians face with prior authorizations which may lead to serious adverse events or the abandonment of treatment due to these delays.

Surface water plays a vital role in the spread of infectious diseases. Information on the spatial and temporal dynamics of surface water availability is thus critical to understanding, monitoring and forecasting disease outbreaks. Before the launch of Sentinel-1 Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) missions, surface water availability has been captured at various spatial scales through approaches based on optical remote sensing data.

Despite the availability of screening services, the rate of diabetic retinopathy (DR) screening continues to be suboptimal in Australia, necessitating improvement. However, improving DR screening rates requires a more comprehensive understanding of the factors influencing adherence to the screening recommendations. This study aimed to explore the factors that influence adherence to DR screening among people with diabetes attending a community screening clinic in Australia.

Crop field monitoring using unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) is one of the most important technologies for plant growth control in modern precision agriculture. One of the important and widely used tasks in field monitoring is plant stand counting. The accurate identification of plants in field images provides estimates of plant number per unit area, detects missing seedlings, and predicts crop yield.
